5. Setup

5.1 Initial Opening and Battery Installation

1. Locate the emergency keyhole behind the keypad cover.
2. Insert one of the emergency keys and turn it clockwise while simultaneously turning the knob on the keypad to open the safe door.
3. Inside the safe, locate the battery compartment on the back of the door.
4. Insert 4 x 1.5V AA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity.
5. Close the battery compartment.

5.2 Setting Your Personal Password

1. With the safe door open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the door (usually near the hinge or battery compartment). A beep will sound, and the indicator light on the keypad will flash.
2. Enter your desired 3 to 8 digit password on the keypad.
3. Press the "#" key to confirm. The indicator light will stop flashing, and a confirmation beep will sound.
4. Test your new password with the door open to ensure it works correctly before closing the safe.

5.3 Mounting the Safe (Optional)

The safe has pre-drilled holes at the back for secure mounting to a wall or floor.

1. Choose a suitable location for mounting, ensuring it is a solid surface.
2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes on the back of the safe onto the wall or floor.
3. Drill holes at the marked points using an appropriate drill bit.
4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and insert the expansion screws.
5. Tighten the screws securely to fix the safe in place.

6.1 Unlocking the Safe

There are three primary methods to unlock your Tiskgg safe:

Method 1: Using Your Personal Password

1. Enter your 3 to 8 digit personal password on the keypad.
2. Press the "#" key.
3. Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

Method 2: Using the Emergency Key

This method is primarily for initial opening or if you forget your password or the batteries are dead.

1. Remove the keypad cover to reveal the emergency keyhole.
2. Insert the emergency key and turn it clockwise.
3. Simultaneously turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

Method 3: Using the External Battery Box (for low battery)

If the internal batteries are depleted, you can use the external battery box to power the keypad temporarily.

1. Insert 4 x 1.5V AA batteries into the emergency battery box.
2. Plug the external battery box into the port located on the keypad.
3. Enter your personal password on the keypad.
4. Press the "#" key.
5. Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
6. Once open, replace the internal batteries immediately.

6.2 Locking the Safe

To lock the safe, simply close the door and turn the knob counter-clockwise until it clicks into place. The electronic lock will automatically engage.

7.1 Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator light on the keypad turns red or the safe does not respond, it's time to replace the batteries. Use 4 x 1.5V AA batteries. Always replace all four batteries at once for optimal performance.

2. Alternatively, use the emergency key to open the safe, then remove and reinsert the batteries to reset the system.

8.2 Forgotten Password
