Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Thunderobot G50S controller, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the controller regularly. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild electronic cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If not in use for extended periods, ensure it is fully charged before storage.
- Battery Care: The controller contains a Lithium Polymer battery. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in constant use, to maintain battery health.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Thunderobot G50S controller, refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Controller not connecting/pairing | Low battery, out of range, incorrect pairing mode, interference. | Charge the controller. Ensure it's within range of the receiver/device. Verify correct connection mode (wired, 2.4G, Bluetooth). Try re-pairing. Reduce interference from other wireless devices. |
| Input lag or unresponsiveness | Wireless interference, low battery, driver issues. | Switch to 2.4G dongle mode for lowest latency. Ensure controller is fully charged. Update device drivers for the controller. Try a wired connection to rule out wireless issues. |
| Joystick drift or inaccurate movement | Calibration issue, physical debris. | Recalibrate joysticks through your device's controller settings. Ensure no debris is obstructing joystick movement. The Hall Effect design minimizes drift, but recalibration can help. |
| Buttons not responding or sticking | Physical debris, internal issue. | Clean around the buttons with compressed air. Ensure no liquids have entered the controller. If the issue persists, contact customer support. |
| Poor battery life | High vibration settings, continuous lighting, aging battery. | Reduce vibration intensity or turn it off. Adjust or turn off LED lighting. Ensure the controller is fully charged before use. Battery performance may degrade over time. |
