1. Safety Information

• Ensure all components are present and undamaged before beginning installation.
• Use only the specified battery type (4 AA Alkaline Batteries). Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.
• Do not expose the lock to extreme temperatures or direct water immersion. While weather-resistant, prolonged exposure to harsh conditions may affect performance.
• For optimal security, regularly change passcodes and review access logs.
• Be aware of the internal locking button feature: when activated, it prevents unlocking from the outside by any method (fingerprint, code, key fob, mechanical key). This is a security feature for when you are inside and do not wish to be disturbed.

4. Installation

The Kucacci Keypad Door Lock is designed for easy installation, often requiring only a screwdriver and no extra drilling for most standard US door types.

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare the Door: Ensure your door has standard boreholes. The lock is compatible with both left and right-hand doors.
2. Install Latch: Insert the latch into the door edge and secure it with screws.
3. Install Exterior Assembly: Place the exterior assembly onto the door, ensuring the spindle aligns with the latch.
4. Install Interior Assembly: Connect the interior assembly to the exterior assembly, ensuring all wires are properly connected and tucked away. Secure with screws.
5. Insert Batteries: Open the battery cover on the interior assembly and insert 4 AA alkaline batteries.

5. Setup

After physical installation, configure your Kucacci Smart Lock for various access methods.

5.1 App Setup (NICE DIGI APP)

1. Download the "NICE DIGI" app from your smartphone's app store.
2. Create an account and log in.
3. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and ensure location services are active for the app.
4. In the app, tap "Add Device" and follow the on-screen prompts to pair your smart lock via Bluetooth.

5.2 Fingerprint Setup

1. In the NICE DIGI app, navigate to your lock's settings.
2. Select "Fingerprint" and tap "Add".
3. Follow the app's instructions to register your fingerprint by repeatedly placing your finger on the sensor until registration is complete.

5.3 Passcode Setup

1. From the app, select "Passcode" and tap "Add".
2. You can generate a random one-time or short-term password, or set a custom permanent passcode.
3. Enter your desired passcode (minimum 6 digits) and confirm.

5.4 Key Fob Setup

1. In the app, select "Card" (for key fob) and tap "Add".
2. Hold the key fob near the lock's sensor as instructed by the app until it is successfully added.

6.1 Unlocking Methods

• Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock if recognized.
• Passcode: Enter your registered passcode on the keypad, followed by the checkmark button.
• Key Fob: Hold the registered key fob near the lock's sensor.
• Mechanical Key: Insert the mechanical key into the keyhole and turn to unlock.
• Bluetooth App Control: Open the NICE DIGI app, select your lock, and tap the unlock icon.

6.2 Locking Methods

• One-Touch Locking: Long press the checkmark button on the keypad for 3 seconds to manually lock the door.
• Auto-Lock: Enable auto-lock in the NICE DIGI app and set a delay (e.g., 5-99 seconds). The lock will automatically engage after the set time.
• Manual Internal Lock: Twist the thumb-turn knob on the interior assembly to manually deadlock the door from the inside. Note: When this feature is engaged, the lock cannot be opened from the outside by any method, including mechanical key, for enhanced privacy and security.

6.3 Disabling Internal Locking Button (Optional)

If you prefer that the internal thumb-turn knob does not completely disable external unlocking methods, you can disable this feature. This involves disassembling part of the interior assembly.

6.4 Notifications and Logs

• Unlocking Notifications: Receive real-time alerts on your smartphone when the lock is accessed.
• Low Battery Alerts: The app will notify you when the battery level is low, prompting you to replace the batteries.
• Access Logs: View a detailed history of all lock and unlock events, including the method used and the user.
