1. Introduction

The Raddy PT-2 Wireless Pool Thermometer provides convenient and accurate temperature monitoring for various water bodies, including swimming pools, hot tubs, and bathtubs. It features a floating outdoor sensor and an indoor display console that shows both water temperature and indoor environmental conditions. This manual provides detailed instructions for setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of your device.

4.1 Display Console

The indoor display console features a digital screen showing:

• Time
• Indoor Temperature & Humidity
• Outdoor (Pool) Temperature
• Water Comfort Level Indicator (Low, OK, High)
• Max/Min Temperature Records
• Low Battery Alert

4.2 Wireless Pool Sensor

The floating sensor is designed for submersion in water and transmits temperature data wirelessly to the display console. It features an IPX7 waterproof rating and an upgraded double rubber gasket design for enhanced protection.

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

For the Display Console:

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the display console.
2. Insert 2 x AAA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-).
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

For the Wireless Pool Sensor:

1. Locate the small locking tab on the top of the floating sensor. Turn it 90 degrees anti-clockwise to unlock.
2. Use the two provided wrenches to unscrew the top part of the sensor. Ensure the larger wrench is oriented correctly as indicated.
3. Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, observing the correct polarity.
4. Before closing: Set the desired channel (1-3) and temperature scale (℃/℉) using the switches inside the compartment. Note the channel for pairing.
5. Carefully screw the top part back onto the sensor, ensuring the double rubber gaskets are properly seated for a tight, waterproof seal. Use the wrenches to tighten.
6. Replace the small locking tab by turning it 90 degrees clockwise to secure.

5.2 Pairing the Units

After installing batteries in both units, place them close to each other. The display console will automatically attempt to pair with the floating sensor on the selected channel. This process may take up to 3 minutes. Once paired, the outdoor temperature will appear on the display console.

5.3 Placement

Place the display console indoors in a location where you can easily view it. The wireless sensor has a transmission range of up to 300 feet in open areas. Place the floating sensor in your pool, hot tub, or other water body.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Reading Temperatures

The display console shows the current indoor temperature and humidity, as well as the water temperature from the floating sensor. The water temperature is prominently displayed with a wave-like background.

6.2 Water Comfort Level

The display console indicates the water comfort level (Low, OK, High) based on the water temperature, helping you determine if the water is suitable for swimming.

6.3 Max/Min Records

The device automatically records the maximum and minimum temperatures for both indoor and outdoor readings. Consult the display console for these historical values.

6.4 Alarm Clock Function

The display console includes an alarm clock with a snooze function. Refer to the specific buttons on the console for setting and activating the alarm.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

Wipe both the display console and the floating sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the floating sensor is dry before re-submerging if it has been opened.

7.2 Battery Replacement

When the low battery indicator appears on the display console, replace the batteries in the respective unit (either the console or the sensor). Follow the battery installation steps in Section 5.1.
