5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the keypad.
  2. Insert 4 AA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover.

5.2 Initial Opening with Emergency Key

Upon first use, or if you forget your code, use the emergency key:

  1. Remove the small cover plate on the keypad to reveal the emergency keyhole.
  2. Insert one of the emergency keys into the keyhole and turn it clockwise.
  3. Simultaneously turn the knob on the keypad clockwise to open the safe door.
  4. Once open, remove the emergency key and store it securely.

5.3 Setting Your Personal Password

It is recommended to set a new personal password immediately after initial opening:

  1. With the safe door open, locate the red reset button on the inside of the door, near the hinge.
  2. Press the red reset button. The keypad will beep, and the yellow indicator light will illuminate.
  3. On the keypad, enter a new 3-8 digit code.
  4. Press the '#' button to confirm. The keypad will beep again, and the yellow light will turn off, indicating the new code is set.
  5. Test the new code with the door open before closing it.

5.4 Mounting the Safe

For optimal security, mount the safe to a solid surface:

  1. Choose a suitable location on a wall or floor.
  2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes inside the safe.
  3. Drill pilot holes into the wall or floor using an appropriate drill bit.
  4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the provided expansion screws.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Opening the Safe with Your Code

  1. Enter your 3-8 digit personal password on the keypad.
  2. Press the '#' button. The green indicator light will illuminate.
  3. Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.

6.2 Closing and Locking the Safe

  1. Close the safe door.
  2. Turn the knob counter-clockwise to engage the locking bolts.
  3. The safe is now locked.

6.3 Anti-Theft Alarm System

The safe is equipped with an alarm system:

  • If an incorrect password is entered 3 consecutive times, the alarm will activate, and the safe will lock for 20 seconds.
  • During this period, no entries can be made.
  • After 20 seconds, you can attempt to open the safe again.

6.4 Using the Removable Shelf

The safe includes a removable shelf to help organize contents:

  • To remove the shelf, simply lift it and pull it out.
  • To reinsert, align it with the support brackets and lower it into place.

7. Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: When the red indicator light flashes during operation, it signifies low battery power. Replace all 4 AA batteries promptly.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the safe's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
