1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the EMKE 1000W Electric Heater. This manual provides important information regarding the safe operation, installation, and maintenance of your new electric radiator. Please read this manual thoroughly before use and keep it for future reference.

This electric heater is designed to provide efficient and comfortable heating for your home or office, featuring an LCD screen, multiple operating modes, a weekly timer, and remote control capabilities.

2. Safety Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic precautions:

  • Read all instructions before using this heater.
  • Do not use this heater outdoors.
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
  • Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 1 meter (3 feet) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  • Always unplug the heater when not in use.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged in any manner. Return heater to authorized service facility for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to OFF, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
  • Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • This heater includes an integrated overheat protection system and a safety child lock feature for enhanced safety.
  • The heater is equipped with tilt protection, automatically shutting off if tilted beyond 45 degrees.

5. Setup and Installation

The EMKE Electric Heater can be used as a freestanding unit or mounted on a wall.

5.1 Freestanding Installation

  1. Carefully remove the heater from its packaging.
  2. Attach the provided feet to the bottom of the heater using the screws. Ensure they are securely fastened.
  3. Place the heater on a stable, flat surface, ensuring it is at least 1 meter away from any combustible materials.
  4. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

5.2 Wall-Mounted Installation

A wall-mounted installation provides a permanent and space-saving heating solution.

  1. Choose a suitable wall location, ensuring there is enough clearance around the heater (at least 1 meter from combustible materials). Avoid placing it directly under a power outlet.
  2. Using the provided mounting kit and template (if included), mark the drilling points on the wall.
  3. Drill holes and insert wall plugs.
  4. Attach the wall brackets to the wall using the screws.
  5. Carefully hang the heater onto the wall brackets, ensuring it is securely seated.
  6. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

Your EMKE Electric Heater offers various intelligent features for optimal comfort and energy efficiency.

6.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the power button on the control panel or remote control to turn the heater ON or OFF.

6.2 Temperature Adjustment

  • The temperature can be adjusted between 7°C and 30°C.
  • Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the control panel or remote control to set your desired temperature.

6.3 Operating Modes

The heater features five operating modes to suit different needs:

EMKE Electric Heater energy-saving modes: Comfort mode (19°C default), ECO mode (15.5°C default), Frost protection (fixed at 7°C).

  • Frost Protection Mode: Maintains a fixed temperature of 7°C to prevent freezing.
  • ECO Mode: Energy-saving mode with a default temperature of 15.5°C (adjustable 7-30°C).
  • Comfort Mode: Standard heating mode with a default temperature of 19°C (adjustable 7-30°C).
  • Holiday Mode: Designed for extended periods away, maintaining a low, energy-efficient temperature.
  • Auto Mode: Automatically adjusts heating based on programmed schedules.

Press the 'M' (Mode) button on the control panel or remote control to cycle through the available modes.

6.4 Timer Function

The heater supports a 24-hour timing function and weekly scheduling.

  • Use the timer settings on the control panel or remote control to program specific ON/OFF times for the heater.
  • Refer to the LCD display for setting the desired start and end times for heating cycles.

6.5 App Control (Remote Control)

The electric radiator supports remote control via a mobile application. Please refer to the separate app instruction guide for pairing and usage details.

6.6 Sleep Mode

For quiet operation during sleep, the heater features a sleep mode, operating at less than 30dB.

6.7 Window Function

The heater is equipped with a window function for automatic shutdown.

When an open window is detected, the heater will automatically turn off to conserve energy. Close the window to resume normal operation.

7. Safety Features

Your EMKE Electric Heater is designed with several safety mechanisms:

  • Overheat Protection: An integrated system prevents damage from high temperatures. The target value can be adjusted (40°C/45°C/50°C/55°C). Once the set value is reached, the heater's temperature will not increase further.

  • Tilt Protection: The heater automatically shuts off if it tilts beyond 45 degrees.

8. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficient operation of your heater.

  • Cleaning: Always unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: If storing the heater for an extended period, unplug it and store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
  • No User-Serviceable Parts: Do not attempt to open or repair the heater yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your EMKE Electric Heater, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
