3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic Typing

The K950GR keyboard features a standard Japanese layout with a full numeric keypad. Keys are designed for a light and quiet touch, reducing typing noise and fatigue.

3.2 Function Keys (F-Keys)

The top row of keys includes function keys (F1-F12) which can perform various system commands or media controls. By default, these keys may perform special functions (e.g., volume control, media playback). To use them as standard F-keys, you may need to press the Fn key simultaneously or configure their behavior using the Logi Options+ software.

3.3 Adjustable Tilt Legs

The keyboard is equipped with adjustable tilt legs on its underside. These legs can be extended to provide an 8-degree typing angle, enhancing ergonomic comfort and reducing wrist strain during prolonged use.

4. Connectivity

4.1 Multi-Device Connectivity with Easy-Switch

The K950GR keyboard supports connecting to up to three different devices simultaneously using either Bluetooth or Logi Bolt. The unique Easy-Switch feature allows you to seamlessly switch between these connected devices by pressing dedicated keys (1, 2, 3) located on the top of the keyboard.

This design minimizes connection interruptions, enhancing productivity. It also complies with Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) for reduced vulnerabilities, making it suitable for business environments.

5. Customization with Logi Options+

Enhance your keyboard experience with the free Logi Options+ application. This software allows you to customize the function keys (F-keys) to perform specific actions or shortcuts according to your preferences. You can download Logi Options+ from the official Logicool website.

Note: Customization options may vary depending on your operating system and the version of Logi Options+.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To clean your keyboard, use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or spraying liquids directly onto the keyboard.

6.2 Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator light on your keyboard signals low power, replace the two AAA batteries as described in the Setup section (2.1 Battery Installation). Always use new, high-quality batteries for optimal performance and battery life.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Connection Issues

  • Keyboard not connecting via Logi Bolt: Ensure the Logi Bolt USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port. Try a different USB port. Make sure the keyboard is turned on.
  • Keyboard not connecting via Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. Put the keyboard into pairing mode by holding an Easy-Switch key until its LED blinks rapidly. Remove any previous pairings of the keyboard from your device's Bluetooth settings and try pairing again.
  • Interference: If you experience intermittent connection, try moving the keyboard closer to your device or the Logi Bolt receiver. Avoid placing the keyboard near other wireless devices or large metal objects that might cause interference.

7.2 Typing Issues

  • Keys not responding: Check battery levels and replace if necessary. Ensure the keyboard is connected to the correct device (check Easy-Switch key selection).
  • Incorrect characters: Verify that the keyboard layout selected on your operating system matches the physical layout of your K950GR (Japanese layout).
