2.1 Compatibility
This remote is compatible with:
- Most Roku TVs (e.g., TCL, Sharp, Hisense, RCA, JVC, Hitachi, Philips, Sanyo, Element, Magnavox, Onn, Westinghouse).
- Roku Streaming Box Players.
Note: This remote is NOT compatible with Roku Stick devices.

3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
- Open the battery cover on the back of the remote control.
- Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Batteries are not included.
- Close the battery cover securely.

3.2 Pairing Instructions
3.2.1 Pairing with Roku TV (Built-in Roku)
- Press and hold the TV Power button and the OK button simultaneously for 3 seconds until the red LED light on the remote turns on.
- Enter the 3-digit code 202. The LED light will turn off, indicating successful pairing.
- Test the remote functions. If it does not work, refer to the troubleshooting section or try alternative codes if available in the full instruction manual (not provided here).

3.2.2 Pairing with Roku Box and TV (Separate Devices)
A. For Roku Box: The remote can be used directly for Roku Box players without any setup.
B. For TV (Non-Roku Built-in):
- Step 1: Press and hold the TV Power button and the OK button simultaneously for 3 seconds until the red LED light turns on.
- Step 2: Input the 3-digit TV code from the list below. The LED light will turn off.
- Test the remote functions. If it does not work, refer to the troubleshooting section or try alternative codes.

If the remote does not function after entering a code, try other codes for your brand or proceed to the learning functions section.
3.2.3 Pairing with TV Only (Not Built-in Roku)
- Step 1: Press and hold the TV Power button and the Sleep button simultaneously for 3 seconds until the red LED light turns on.
- Step 2: Input the 3-digit TV code from the list provided in Section 3.2.2. The LED light will turn off.
- Test the remote functions. If it does not work, refer to the troubleshooting section or try alternative codes.

4. Operating Instructions
Once paired, the remote control functions similarly to your original Roku remote. The buttons are intuitively laid out for ease of use.
4.1 Basic Functions
- Power (TV): Turns the TV on or off.
- Input: Cycles through TV input sources.
- Menu: Accesses the TV or Roku menu.
- Navigation Pad (Up, Down, Left, Right, OK): Navigates menus and selects options.
- Volume (+/-): Adjusts TV volume.
- Channel (CH +/-): Changes TV channels.
- Mute: Mutes or unmutes TV audio.
- Home: Returns to the Roku home screen.
- Return: Goes back to the previous screen.

5. Learning Functions
The UTV-1803 remote control can learn functions directly from your original remote, allowing you to customize buttons or add functions not natively supported.
- Ensure both the UTV-1803 remote and your original remote have working batteries.
- Place the UTV-1803 remote and your original remote head-to-head, approximately 1-3 cm (0.4-1.2 inches) apart.
- Press and hold the TV Power button and the Volume Up (+) button on the UTV-1803 remote simultaneously for 4 seconds until the red LED light is lit.
- Press the key on your original remote that you wish to learn. The red LED light on the UTV-1803 will blink.
- While the LED is blinking, press the corresponding key on the UTV-1803 remote where you want to store the function. The LED will blink 3 times and then stay lit, indicating successful learning.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 for all other keys you wish to learn.
- To save the settings, press and hold the TV Power button, then press the Volume Down (-) button.

6. Maintenance
- Keep the remote control dry. Avoid exposure to moisture or liquids.
- Clean the remote with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Avoid dropping the remote or subjecting it to strong impacts.
- If the remote will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
7. Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding:
- Check if the batteries are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the device's IR receiver.
- Re-attempt the pairing process as described in Section 3.2.
- Specific buttons not working:
- If a button was programmed using the learning function, try re-learning that specific function.
- Ensure the remote is pointed directly at the device.
- Remote controls Roku Box but not TV:

- Remote controls TV but not Roku Box:
- The remote should work directly with Roku Box players without setup. Ensure the Roku Box is powered on and responsive to its original remote (if available).
