The Alxum H501 offers flexible installation options to suit various vehicle dashboards.

3.1 Mounting Options

Two types of brackets are provided for installation:

  • Chassis Rotation Bracket: Provides a stable, low-profile mount directly on the dashboard.
  • Suction Cup Bracket: Allows for flexible placement on the windshield or dashboard, easily removable.

3.2 General Installation Steps

  1. Choose your preferred mounting bracket (chassis rotation or suction cup).
  2. Attach the bracket securely to the Alxum display unit.
  3. Mount the display unit to your desired location on the dashboard or windshield, ensuring it does not obstruct your view or interfere with airbags.
  4. Connect the Type-C power cable from the display to your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.
  5. If using the rear camera, route the camera cable to the back of your vehicle and connect it to the display unit. Ensure the camera is mounted in a position that provides a clear view.
  6. Power on your vehicle to activate the display.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: The device powers on automatically when the vehicle starts and powers off when the vehicle is turned off.
  • Touchscreen Interface: Navigate through menus and control functions using the 7-inch touchscreen.
  • Brightness Adjustment: Access display settings to adjust screen brightness. The device supports automatic day and night modes for optimal visibility.

4.2 Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto

Connect your smartphone wirelessly to access navigation, communication, and entertainment features.

  1. Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your smartphone.
  2. On the Alxum display, select either 'CarPlay' or 'Android Auto'.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your phone via Bluetooth. Once paired, the system will establish a Wi-Fi connection for CarPlay or Android Auto functionality.
  4. The display will automatically connect to your phone upon subsequent vehicle startups.

4.3 Bluetooth Connectivity

Use Bluetooth for hands-free calling and audio streaming if not using CarPlay/Android Auto.

  1. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone.
  2. On the Alxum display, navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Search for available devices on your phone and select 'Alxum H501' (or similar name).

4.4 FM Transmitter

Transmit audio from the Alxum display to your vehicle's FM radio.

4.5 AUX Connection

Connect the display to your vehicle's AUX input for direct audio output.

  1. Connect one end of the provided 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX output port on the Alxum display.
  2. Connect the other end to your vehicle's AUX input port.
  3. Select 'AUX' as the audio source on your vehicle's stereo system.

4.6 MirrorLink (Airplay & Miracast)

Mirror your smartphone screen to the Alxum display for video playback or other content.

  1. On the Alxum display, select the 'MirrorLink' option.
