3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the radio.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 4x DC-1.5V D-cell batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Batteries are not included.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 AC Power Connection

1. Locate the AC power input jack on the side of the radio.
2. Connect the provided AC-110V-50Hz power cord to the radio and then to a wall outlet.
3. When the AC cord is plugged in, the radio will automatically switch to AC power, preserving battery life.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off & Volume Control

1. Rotate the VOLUME knob clockwise to turn the radio ON and increase the volume.
2. Rotate the VOLUME knob counter-clockwise to decrease the volume and turn the radio OFF.

4.2 Tuning to a Station

1. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal FM and SW reception.
2. Use the TUNING knob to scan for desired radio stations. The frequency scale will indicate the current station.

4.3 Radio Band Selection

1. Use the RADIO selector switch (usually labeled AM/FM/SW) to choose your desired frequency band.

4.4 Tone Modes

1. Adjust the TONE switch (labeled LOW/HIGH) to select your preferred audio tone. High tone is suitable for noisy environments, while low tone is ideal for relaxed listening.

4.5 Headphone Use

1. Plug any standard 3.5mm earphone (not included) into the EARPHONE JACK for private listening. The radio's main speaker will mute automatically.
