3. Setup
3.1 Power Connection
The FlipWah pedal can be powered by a standard 9V DC power adapter (center negative, 5.5mm x 2.1mm) or a 9V battery. Insert the power adapter into the '9V DC' jack on the side of the pedal. If using a battery, open the battery compartment located on the underside of the pedal and connect a 9V battery.
3.2 Audio Connections
Connect your guitar or other instrument to the 'INPUT' jack. Connect the 'OUTPUT' jack to your amplifier or the next pedal in your signal chain. The 'THRU' jack provides an additional output for sending a direct signal to a tuner or another effects pedal, allowing for flexible signal routing.

4. Operating the Pedal
4.1 Switching Between Wah and Volume Modes
The FlipWah pedal features a hidden footswitch under the toe-down position. Press firmly on the toe-down position to toggle between Wah and Active Volume modes. The dual-color LED indicator will change to reflect the current mode:

4.2 Wah Mode Operation
In Wah mode (Green LED), rock the pedal back and forth with your foot to sweep through the wah effect's frequency range. The 'Q' knob on the side of the pedal allows you to adjust the width of the wah filter frequency, providing control over the intensity and character of the wah effect.

4.3 Active Volume Mode Operation
In Active Volume mode (Blue LED), rock the pedal back and forth to control the output volume of your signal. The active circuit design helps prevent impedance mismatch issues, ensuring a consistent and clear signal throughout the volume sweep.

5. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your SONICAKE FlipWah pedal, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the pedal's exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the pedal in a dry environment away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
- Battery Replacement: If using a 9V battery, replace it when the LED indicator dims or the pedal's performance is affected. Always remove the battery if the pedal will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Cable Care: Ensure all audio and power cables are in good condition and properly connected to prevent signal loss or damage.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your FlipWah pedal, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Sound: Check all cable connections (input, output, power). Ensure the guitar and amplifier are working correctly. Verify the pedal is receiving power and the LED is illuminated.
- Weak or Distorted Sound: Check battery level or power supply. Ensure all cables are fully inserted and not damaged. Test with different cables or a different power source.
- Wah Effect Not Engaging: Ensure the pedal is in Wah mode (Green LED). Press firmly on the toe-down position to switch modes if necessary.
- Volume Control Not Smooth: If using a 9V battery, ensure it is fresh. If using a power adapter, ensure it meets the 9V DC center-negative specification. For optimal volume control, use a TRS cable for connections.
- Excessive Noise/Hum: Ensure proper grounding of all equipment. Try isolating the pedal from other power sources or effects pedals to identify interference.
