1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Makayuron Smart Door Lock M305Tuya. This smart lock offers five convenient ways to unlock your door: fingerprint, Tuya Wi-Fi app, passcode, RFID card, and a traditional mechanical key. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper functionality and security.

3. Installation Instructions

Before proceeding with the physical installation, ensure you have connected the lock to your mobile phone and tested all functions. This will prevent issues after permanent installation.

3.1. Door Handing Adjustment

The smart lock handles may need to be adjusted based on your door's opening direction (left or right). Follow the steps in the video below to correctly adjust the handle direction.

3.2. Smart Door Lock Installation Steps

Key Installation Steps:

  1. Install Mortise: Insert the mortise into the door edge and secure it with screws.

  3. Install Front Panel: Ensure the triangle mark on the front panel's spindle mechanism points downwards.

  5. Insert Connecting Rods and Square Bar: Place the connecting rods and square bar into their respective positions on the front panel.

  7. Insert Front Panel into Door: Carefully guide the front panel, with its cables and rods, into the prepared holes in the door.

  9. Connect Cables: Connect the cables from the front panel to the back panel.

  11. Insert Back Panel into Door: Align the back panel and carefully insert it onto the door, ensuring cables are not pinched.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Fingerprint Unlock

Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.

4.2. Passcode Unlock

Enter your registered passcode on the touchscreen keypad. The lock supports various passcode types:

  • Permanent Code: For regular users like family members.
  • Time-Limited Code: For visitors, valid for a specific duration.
  • Recurring Code: For service providers like cleaners, valid on specific days/times.
  • One-Time Code: For single-use access.

4.3. RFID Card Unlock

Tap your registered RFID card against the card reader area on the lock. The lock will unlock upon successful recognition.

4.4. Tuya Wi-Fi App Control

Use the Tuya Smart app on your smartphone to manage and control your lock remotely. Features include:

  • Remote unlocking/locking.
  • Adding and managing multiple users.
  • Generating temporary or one-time passcodes.
  • Viewing access logs and history.
  • Receiving real-time notifications.

4.5. Mechanical Key Override

In case of emergencies or battery depletion, insert the mechanical key into the backup keyhole and turn to unlock the door manually.

5. Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: The lock requires 4 AA batteries. Replace them when the low battery warning is issued. To replace, remove the back panel cover, replace the old batteries with new ones, and reattach the cover.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the finish or electronic components.
  • Regular Checks: Periodically check that all screws are tight and the lock operates smoothly.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Lock not responding: Check battery levels. If low, replace batteries or use the emergency USB power supply.
  • Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register your fingerprint if issues persist.
