Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your COSTWAY Evaporative Air Cooler for first use.
- Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove the air cooler and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Placement: Place the air cooler on a firm, level surface in the desired location. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for proper airflow. The unit is equipped with 4 wheels for easy movement. Lock the wheels once positioned.
- Fill Water Tank: Open the water inlet cover located on the side or top of the unit. Slowly pour clean, cool water into the 20-liter (5.3-gallon) water tank. Observe the visible water level indicator on the front of the unit. Do not exceed the 'MAX' line.
- Prepare Ice Boxes: Fill the provided ice boxes with water and place them in a freezer until completely frozen.

Operating Instructions
Your air cooler can be operated using the control panel on the top of the unit or the included remote control.
Control Panel Overview

Image: Close-up of the air cooler's control panel, showing buttons for Cool, Mode, Breeze, Timer, Swing, Speed, and On/Off. Below, it illustrates four wind speeds: Breeze (for sleep), Low Speed (for rest), Medium Speed (for leisure), and High Speed (for sports).
- On/Off Button: Press to turn the unit on or off.
- Cool Button: Activates or deactivates the evaporative cooling function. The 'Cool' indicator light will illuminate when active.
- Mode Button: Cycles through the three operating modes: Normal, Natural, and Sleep. The corresponding indicator light will show the selected mode.
- Breeze Button: This button may be integrated with the 'Mode' or 'Speed' button, or it may activate a specific gentle breeze setting. Refer to the control panel icons for clarification.
- Timer Button: Sets the automatic shut-off timer. Press repeatedly to cycle through time settings from 0.5 hours up to 7.5 hours.
- Swing Button: Activates the automatic horizontal oscillation (swing) of the internal louvers, distributing air across a wider area. The vertical louvers can be adjusted manually.
- Speed Button: Adjusts the fan speed. Press repeatedly to cycle through 4 speeds: Breeze (gentle), Low, Medium, and High.
Operating Modes
- Normal Mode: Provides a constant airflow at the selected speed.
- Natural Mode: Simulates a natural breeze by varying the fan speed intermittently.
- Sleep Mode: Operates at a lower, quieter speed with reduced light indicators for undisturbed rest. The noise level is ≤ 60dB.

Remote Control
The remote control allows you to operate all functions from a distance of up to 6 meters (approximately 20 feet). Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit's sensor.
Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air cooler.
- Before Cleaning: Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
- Water Tank Cleaning: Regularly drain and clean the water tank to prevent mold and mildew growth. Remove the tank (if detachable) or drain water through the drainage plug. Rinse with clean water and wipe dry.
- Filter Cleaning: The air cooler contains an evaporative cooling pad/filter. Periodically remove and rinse it under running water to remove dust and mineral deposits. Allow it to dry completely before reinserting. Frequency depends on usage and water quality.
- Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the water tank is completely empty and dry. Clean all components thoroughly. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging. Use the convenient electric cord holder on the back of the unit to neatly store the power cord.
Troubleshooting Guide
