- Storage: Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can damage the Li-ion battery.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Radio does not power on. | Low battery or incorrect power source selection. | Charge the internal Li-ion battery or install fresh AAA batteries. Ensure the 'POWER' switch is set to the correct battery type (Li-ion or AAA). |
| Poor radio reception. | Antenna not extended, weak signal area, or interference. | Fully extend the telescopic antenna. Try repositioning the radio. Avoid areas with strong electromagnetic interference. |
| Phone not charging from radio. | Radio battery is low, incorrect cable, or device incompatibility. | Ensure the radio's internal battery is sufficiently charged. Use the correct USB charging cable for your device. |
| NOAA weather alert not activating. | Radio not in WB mode, or specific alert conditions not met. | Ensure the 'BAND' switch is set to 'WB'. Note that some users have reported inconsistent NOAA alerts when the radio is left on with low volume; ensure adequate volume or check periodically. |
