1. Important Safety Information
WARNING: Read and understand all instructions and safety warnings before using this product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or property damage. This high-pressure system requires careful handling.
- Always wear appropriate eye protection when handling or filling high-pressure air tanks.
- Never exceed the maximum working pressure of 4500psi (300bar/30Mpa).
- Do not fill the cylinder if it has any visual damage, dents, or corrosion.
- Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free before pressurizing the system.
- Keep hands and face clear of the pressure relief valve during operation.
- Store the air tank in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not modify the tank or filling station components.
2. Product Overview and Components
The TUXING 6.8L 4500psi Carbon Fiber Air Tank and Filling Station is designed for safely filling high-pressure air devices such as PCP rifles and paintball tanks. It features a lightweight carbon fiber composite tank and a robust filling station with dual pressure gauges.

3. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your TUXING Carbon Fiber Air Tank and Filling Station:
- Inspect Components: Before assembly, carefully inspect all components for any signs of damage, such as cracks, dents, or corrosion. Do not use damaged equipment.
- Connect Tank to Filling Station: Screw the carbon fiber air tank onto the M18x1.5-6H thread of the filling station. Ensure the connection is hand-tight and secure. Do not overtighten.
- Connect High-Pressure Hose: Attach the 24-inch high-pressure hose to the designated port on the filling station. Ensure the connection is secure.
- Connect to Air Source: Connect the 8mm male quick disconnect plug with filter (input) of the filling station to your high-pressure air compressor or pump.
- Prepare Device for Filling: Connect the 8mm female quick disconnect plug of the hose to the device you intend to fill (e.g., PCP rifle, paintball tank).
4. Operating Instructions (Filling Process)
Once the system is set up, follow these steps to safely fill your device:
- Close Release Valve: Ensure the release valve on the filling station is fully closed.
- Open On/Off Valve: Slowly open the on/off valve on the filling station.
- Start Air Source: Begin operating your high-pressure air compressor or pump to start filling the carbon fiber tank.
- Monitor Pressure: Carefully monitor the pressure gauges on both the filling station and your device. Fill only to the recommended pressure for your device, never exceeding 4500psi (300bar/30Mpa).
- Stop Air Source: Once the desired pressure is reached, stop your air compressor or pump.
- Close On/Off Valve: Close the on/off valve on the filling station.
- Release Residual Pressure: Slowly open the release valve on the filling station to vent any residual pressure in the hose and filling station. You will hear air escaping.
- Disconnect Device: Once the pressure is fully released, disconnect your filled device from the hose.
- Disconnect Air Source: Disconnect the filling station from your air compressor or pump.
CAUTION: Always fill slowly to avoid overheating the tank and to allow accurate pressure readings. Never leave the filling process unattended.
5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your TUXING air tank and filling station.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect the carbon fiber tank for any signs of damage, such as deep scratches, cracks, or delamination. Check the filling station for leaks, worn seals, or damaged gauges.
- Cleanliness: Keep all connections and valves clean and free from dirt or debris. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe down the components.
- Seal Replacement: Replace O-rings and seals as needed to prevent leaks. Use only compatible replacement parts.
- Hydrostatic Testing: Carbon fiber tanks have a service life of 15 years. Adhere to local regulations regarding hydrostatic testing and re-certification of high-pressure cylinders.
- Storage: Store the air tank and filling station in a cool, dry, and secure location, away from direct sunlight, corrosive chemicals, and extreme temperatures. Ensure the tank is depressurized before long-term storage.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, refer to the following troubleshooting guide:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Air leak during filling | Loose connections, damaged O-rings, faulty valve. | Tighten all connections. Inspect and replace O-rings if worn. Check valve for proper seating. |
| Tank not filling or slow filling | Air source not operating correctly, on/off valve not fully open, clogged filter. | Ensure air compressor/pump is functioning. Fully open the on/off valve. Check and clean the input filter. |
| Pressure gauge not reading | Gauge malfunction, no pressure in the system. | Verify pressure is present in the system. If no pressure, troubleshoot filling process. If pressure is present, gauge may need replacement. |
| Release valve not releasing pressure | Valve stuck or obstructed. | Ensure valve is fully opened. If still stuck, do not force; seek professional assistance. |
If you cannot resolve an issue, contact the seller or manufacturer for assistance.
