1. Battery Installation and Charging
Your G2pro walkie talkies come with rechargeable lithium polymer batteries. Ensure they are fully charged before first use.
- Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the Type-C port on the walkie talkie.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.

2. Powering On/Off
To power on or off the walkie talkie, press and hold the power button (usually the CALL button or a dedicated power button, refer to the device's physical layout for exact location) until the LCD screen illuminates or turns off.
Operating Instructions
1. Channel Selection
The G2pro features 22 FRS channels. To change channels:
- Press the MENU button to enter channel selection mode.
- Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to navigate through the available channels (1-22).
- Press the MENU button again or wait a few seconds to confirm your selection.
2. CTCSS Tones (Privacy Codes)
To ensure private conversations and avoid interference, you can set CTCSS tones (99 available). This allows you to communicate only with other radios set to the same channel and CTCSS tone.
- After selecting a channel, press the MENU button twice to enter CTCSS tone selection mode.
- Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to select a tone.
- Press the MENU button again or wait to confirm.
3. High/Low Power Selection
You can switch between high (2W) and low (0.5W) power output depending on your communication range needs and battery conservation goals.
- Refer to the device's menu or a dedicated button for power selection.
- High power provides maximum range (up to 6 miles or 25 floors) but consumes more battery.
- Low power conserves battery life but reduces communication range.

4. VOX Hands-Free Operation
VOX (Voice Operated Exchange) allows you to transmit by speaking into the microphone without pressing the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button.
- To activate/deactivate VOX, navigate through the menu settings.
- Adjust VOX sensitivity levels to prevent accidental transmissions from background noise.
5. Key Lock Function
To prevent accidental button presses and setting changes, activate the Key Lock function.
- Typically, press and hold the MENU button or a specific lock button to engage/disengage.
6. Communication
- Ensure both walkie talkies are on the same channel and CTCSS tone.
- To transmit, press and hold the PTT button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone.
- Release the PTT button to listen for a response.
- For one-to-many communication, all radios on the same channel and tone will receive the transmission.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your Gaswei G2pro walkie talkies.
- Cleaning: Wipe the radios with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the walkie talkies in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for extended periods, ensure batteries are partially charged (not fully charged or fully depleted) and recharge them every few months.
- Water Exposure: While IP55 rated, avoid prolonged submersion. If exposed to water, wipe dry thoroughly before charging or opening any compartments.
- Shock Resistance: The radios are shock-resistant, but extreme impacts should still be avoided to prevent internal damage.
