Operating Instructions
Measuring Wind Speed:
Hold the anemometer so that the impeller faces directly into the airflow. The wind speed will be displayed on the LCD. Use the UNIT button to cycle through different units (m/s, km/h, ft/s, Knots, mile/h, ft/m).
Measuring Air Volume:
To measure air volume (CFM, CMM, CMS), you must first set the flow area. Refer to the 'Flow Area Setting' section for detailed instructions. Once the area is set, the device will calculate and display the air volume based on the measured wind speed.
Temperature and Humidity Measurement:
The device automatically measures ambient temperature and humidity. Press the FUNC button to cycle through Ambient Temperature, Dew Point, and Wet Bulb temperature displays. Use the ℃/℉ button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
MAX/MIN and Data Hold:
- Press MAX/MIN once to display the maximum recorded value. Press again for the minimum value. Press a third time to exit MAX/MIN mode.
- Press HOLD to freeze the current reading on the display. Press HOLD again to release and resume live measurements.
Display Backlight:
Press the LIGHT button to turn the display backlight on or off. The backlight will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity to save power.
Maintenance
Cleaning:
Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the impeller is free from dust and debris for accurate readings.
Battery Replacement:
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries as described in the 'Battery Installation' section. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.
Storage:
If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store the anemometer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
