4. Setup and Installation

The light bar is designed for magnetic mounting on a vehicle's rooftop. Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and made of ferrous metal to ensure strong adhesion.

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare Mounting Surface: Clean the vehicle's rooftop where the light bar will be placed. Ensure it is free of dirt, dust, and moisture.
  2. Attach Brackets: The light bar comes with pre-attached magnetic suction cup bases. These bases feature 4x7 strong magnets and thick rubber suction cups for stability.
  3. Position Light Bar: Carefully place the light bar on the desired location on the vehicle's roof. The strong magnets will secure it in place.
  4. Route Power Cable: Route the 16.4 ft heavy-duty power cable into the vehicle's cabin, ensuring it does not interfere with doors or windows.
  5. Connect to Power: Plug the cigarette lighter adapter into your vehicle's 12V power socket.

Important Note:

The magnetic base is designed for ferrous metal surfaces. It does not apply to aluminum body vehicles. Always ensure a secure fit before driving, especially at higher speeds. Testing indicates stability up to 80 mph.

5. Operating Instructions

The light bar is controlled via a double switch button located on the cigarette lighter plug.

Controls:

  • ON/OFF Switch: Use this switch to power the light bar on or off.
  • Pattern Button: Press this button to cycle through the 26 available flashing patterns. The device features a memory function that recalls the last used pattern upon restart.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ASPL LED Strobe Lights Bar, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Regular Cleaning: Clean the light bar and lenses periodically with a soft cloth and mild soap solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface.
  • Inspect Mounting: Regularly check the magnetic bases and rubber suction cups for wear or damage. Ensure they are securely attached to the light bar and the vehicle.
  • Cable Inspection: Examine the power cable for any signs of fraying, cuts, or damage. Replace if necessary.
  • Weather Protection: While the unit is IP68 waterproof, prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions can affect its lifespan. Store the light bar indoors when not in use for extended periods.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your light bar, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Light Bar Not Turning On:
    • Check if the cigarette lighter plug is fully inserted into the 12V socket.
    • Ensure the ON/OFF switch on the controller is in the 'ON' position.
    • Verify the vehicle's 12V socket is receiving power. Test with another device if possible.
    • Inspect the power cable for any visible damage.
  • Patterns Not Changing:
    • Ensure the light bar is powered on.
    • Press the pattern button firmly to cycle through modes.
  • Weak Magnetic Adhesion:
    • Ensure the vehicle's rooftop is clean and dry.
    • Confirm the vehicle's roof is made of ferrous metal, as the magnetic base is not compatible with aluminum surfaces.
