4.2 App Installation and Pairing

To unlock the full potential of your R5 Smart Ring, download the official JAKCOM application from your smartphone's app store (available for iPhone and Android). Follow the in-app instructions to pair your ring and configure its various functions.

4.3 Programming RFID/NFC Cards

For simulating existing RFID or NFC cards, you will need a compatible card copier/reader (e.g., JAKCOM CDS RFID Replicator, sold separately). Use the copier to read your physical cards and write the data to the corresponding chip modules within your R5 ring. Ensure the ring is placed correctly on the copier for successful data transfer.

Utilize the JAKCOM R5 Smart Ring's features as follows:

5.1 Using Simulated Cards

Once programmed, simply touch the appropriate part of your R5 ring to a compatible reader (e.g., access control panel, turnstile, time clock) to gain access or complete transactions. The ring has distinct areas for different chip types (IC, ID, NFC) for precise interaction.

5.2 Social Information Sharing

To share your social contact information, activate the social sharing function via the JAKCOM app. Then, gently tap your ring against another NFC-enabled smartphone. Your pre-configured social profiles will be shared instantly.

5.3 Wireless File Transfer

Access the 128GB wireless disk feature through the JAKCOM app. You can then transfer files to and from your ring by touching it to a compatible smartphone or computer. This allows for convenient and secure data exchange.

5.4 Smart Home and Apple Shortcuts Control

Configure smart home scenes (e.g., Mi Home) or Apple Shortcuts within the JAKCOM app. Once set up, a simple tap of your ring can trigger complex actions, such as turning on lights, adjusting air conditioning, or playing music.
