3. Setup

Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Battery Charging and Installation

1. Insert the 60V 4.0Ah battery into the provided charger.
2. Plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet. The charger indicator light will show the charging status.
3. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger and remove the battery.
4. Align the charged battery with the battery compartment on the chainsaw and slide it in until it clicks securely into place. Ensure the battery gauge is visible and functional.

Chain and Bar Assembly (if not pre-assembled)

1. Ensure the battery is removed for safety.
2. Place the guide bar onto the chainsaw studs.
3. Carefully loop the chain around the sprocket and guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges face the correct direction (refer to chain markings).
4. Replace the side cover and hand-tighten the tensioning knob.

Chain Tensioning

The SENIX chainsaw features tool-free chain tensioning.

1. With the battery removed, loosen the side cover knob slightly.
2. Turn the chain tensioning dial (usually a red or orange knob) clockwise to increase tension or counter-clockwise to decrease tension.
3. Proper tension allows the chain to be pulled away from the guide bar by about 1/8 to 1/4 inch (3-6 mm) at the center, but the drive links should not come out of the guide bar groove.
4. Once tension is correct, firmly tighten the side cover knob.

Adding Bar and Chain Oil

The chainsaw features an automatic oiling system. It is crucial to keep the oil reservoir filled.

1. Ensure the battery is removed.
2. Locate the oil cap on the chainsaw body.
3. Unscrew the cap and fill the reservoir with high-quality bar and chain oil. Do not use waste oil or motor oil.
4. Replace the cap securely.

4. Operating Instructions

Starting the Chainsaw

1. Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely installed.
2. Engage the chain brake by pushing the front hand guard forward until it clicks.
3. Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands.
4. Press the safety lock-out button (usually on the top handle) and then squeeze the trigger switch to start the motor.
5. Release the chain brake by pulling the front hand guard back towards the handle. The chain will begin to move.

Cutting Techniques

• Felling: For felling small trees, make a notch cut on the side of the tree in the direction of the fall, then make a felling cut from the opposite side, slightly above the notch.
• Limbing: Remove branches from a fallen tree. Work from the bottom up, supporting the branch to prevent pinching.
• Bucking: Cutting a fallen log into sections. Use a sawhorse or support the log to prevent the chain from pinching.
• Always maintain a balanced stance and keep the chainsaw close to your body for better control.
• Allow the chainsaw to reach full speed before engaging the wood.

ECO Mode

The ECO Mode can be activated by pressing the dedicated button on the chainsaw. This mode reduces power output, optimizing battery life for lighter cutting tasks such as small branch trimming or extended runtime needs.

Cleaning
