5. Installation Instructions

  1. Turn Off Power: At the circuit breaker or fuse box, turn off the power to the outlet you are replacing. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.

    • Connect the Neutral (White) wire from the wall box to the silver screw terminal on the smart outlet.
    • Connect the Ground (Bare Copper or Green) wire from the wall box to the green screw terminal on the smart outlet.
    Ensure all connections are secure. This outlet supports 12-14 AWG wires.
  5. Mount Outlet: Carefully push the wired outlet back into the wall box. Secure it with the provided mounting screws.
  6. Install Wall Plate: Snap the screwless wall plate onto the outlet for a clean finish.
  7. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker. The outlet's indicator light should illuminate.

  3. Add Device: In the Schneider Home app, select the option to add a new device. The app will guide you through the pairing process.
  4. Matter Pairing: The outlet supports Matter. You can typically initiate pairing by scanning the QR code located on the side of the device (refer to Image 4.2) or by entering a numerical code provided with the product. Ensure your smart home hub (e.g., Apple HomePod, Google Nest Hub, Amazon Echo) is within range and in pairing mode.
  5. Wi-Fi Connection: The app will prompt you to connect the outlet to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure your phone is connected to the same 2.4GHz network during setup.
  6. Integrate with Voice Assistants: Once paired with the Schneider Home app or your Matter-compatible smart home system, you can link it to voice assistants like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple Home for voice control. Follow the instructions within your preferred smart home app to enable this integration.
