8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your X Series outlet, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on. | No power at the circuit, incorrect wiring, or faulty device. | Check circuit breaker. Verify wiring connections (Line, Neutral, Ground). Ensure neutral wire is connected. If issues persist, contact support. |
| Cannot connect to Wi-Fi or app. | Incorrect Wi-Fi password, 5 GHz network selected, weak Wi-Fi signal, router issues, or Matter pairing issues. | Ensure you are connecting to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Verify Wi-Fi password. Move device closer to router. Restart router. Try factory resetting the outlet (press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds until indicator light changes). Re-attempt Matter pairing using the QR code or manual code. Temporarily disable mesh network features if experiencing issues. |
| Energy monitoring data is inaccurate or missing. | Device not properly configured, app synchronization issue, or Matter 1.0 limitation. | Ensure the device is fully integrated with the Schneider Home app. Check for app updates. Note that some third-party Matter 1.0 integrations may not fully support energy monitoring data. |
| Voice control not working. | Incorrect device name, not linked to voice assistant, or network issue. | Verify the device name in your smart home app. Ensure the Schneider Home skill/service is linked in your voice assistant app. Check network connectivity. |
| Outlet frequently disconnects from Wi-Fi. | Weak Wi-Fi signal, network interference, or router configuration. | Improve Wi-Fi signal strength (e.g., Wi-Fi extender, move router). Check for conflicting devices on your network. Ensure router firmware is up to date. |
