1. Product Overview

The MONTECH Sky Two GX is an E-ATX Mid Tower Case designed for high airflow performance, featuring a metal mesh front panel and pre-installed PWM ARGB fans. It offers enhanced compatibility and ease of use for PC builders.

2. Setup and Installation

This section provides general guidelines for setting up your MONTECH Sky Two GX case. For detailed component-specific instructions, please refer to your component manuals.

2.1 Preparing the Case

1. Unpack the Case: Carefully remove the case from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
2. Remove Side Panels: The tempered glass side panel swivels open for easy access. The opposite side panel can be removed by unscrewing the thumbscrews.
3. Accessory Box: Locate the accessory box inside the case, which contains screws, zip ties, and other installation hardware.

2.2 Component Installation

1. Motherboard Installation: Install your E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX, or Mini-ITX motherboard onto the standoffs. Ensure proper alignment and secure with screws.
2. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation: Install the PSU into its dedicated compartment at the bottom rear of the case.
3. Storage Drive Installation:
   • For 2.5-inch SSDs, use the dedicated mounts on the multifunctional side panel.
   • For 3.5-inch HDDs, use the drive cage located near the PSU shroud.
4. Graphics Card (GPU) Installation: Install your GPU into the appropriate PCIe slot. The case supports GPUs up to 400mm in length.
5. Cooling System Installation:
   • Fans: The case comes with three pre-installed 140mm ARGB PWM fans at the front. Additional fans can be installed at the top, rear, and bottom. The case supports up to 11 fans.
   • Radiators: The case supports radiators up to 360mm at the top and front.
   • CPU Cooler: The case accommodates CPU coolers up to 168mm in height.

2.3 Cable Management

Utilize the 25mm cable management space behind the motherboard tray and the included zip ties to route and secure cables neatly. This improves airflow and aesthetics.

3. Operating Instructions

This section covers the basic operation of your MONTECH Sky Two GX case, focusing on its integrated features.

3.1 Front I/O Panel

The front I/O panel provides convenient access to essential ports and controls:

• Power Button: Press to power on/off your system.
• Reset Button: Press to restart your system.
• USB 3.0 Ports (x2): For high-speed data transfer with compatible devices.
• USB Type-C Port (x1): For modern USB-C devices.
• Audio Jacks: Headphone and microphone jacks for audio peripherals.

3.2 ARGB Fan Control

The pre-installed AX140 ARGB PWM fans offer customizable lighting. The RGB functionality of the front fans is dependent on your motherboard's RGB pins. For full synchronization and control, connect the fan RGB controller to your motherboard's ARGB header.

Refer to your motherboard's manual for specific instructions on controlling ARGB lighting via software.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and longevity of your PC case.

4.1 Cleaning

• Exterior: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Dust Filters: The metal mesh front panel and other filtered areas are designed to be dustproof. Regularly clean these filters to maintain optimal airflow. The front panel features a quick-release mechanism for easy removal and cleaning.
• Interior: Use compressed air to remove dust from inside the case, especially from fans and heatsinks. Perform this outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.

4.2 Panel Removal and Reinstallation

• Tempered Glass Side Panel: This panel swivels open for convenient access. To fully remove, gently lift it off its hinges when fully open. Reinstall by aligning the hinges and closing the panel until it latches magnetically.
• Steel Side Panel: Loosen the thumbscrews at the rear of the case, then slide the panel backward and lift it off. Reinstall by aligning the panel and securing the thumbscrews.
• Multifunctional Side Panel: This panel can be quickly detached for fan installation or accessing 2.5-inch SSD mounts. Refer to the internal switch for opening/closing.

5. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your MONTECH Sky Two GX case.

5.1 Fans Not Spinning or RGB Not Lighting Up

• Power Connection: Ensure all fans are properly connected to the motherboard fan headers (PWM) and the fan RGB controller is powered via SATA.
• RGB Connection: Verify that the fan RGB controller is correctly connected to your motherboard's ARGB header (3-pin, 5V).
• Motherboard Software: Check your motherboard's RGB control software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync) to ensure fans are enabled and configured correctly.
• Cable Integrity: Inspect fan cables for any damage or loose connections.

5.2 Poor Airflow or High Temperatures

• Dust Buildup: Clean all dust filters and internal components as described in the Maintenance section.
• Fan Orientation: Ensure fans are installed with the correct airflow direction (intake/exhaust) for optimal cooling. Front fans typically act as intake, rear and top as exhaust.
• Cable Management: Poor cable management can obstruct airflow. Reroute cables to minimize obstruction.
• Component Clearance: Verify that large components (e.g., CPU cooler, GPU) are not excessively close to case panels or other components, which could restrict airflow.

5.3 Front I/O Ports Not Functioning

• Motherboard Connections: Ensure the front I/O cables (USB 3.0, USB Type-C, HD Audio, Power SW, Reset SW, Power LED, HDD LED) are correctly connected to the corresponding headers on your motherboard. Refer to your motherboard manual for header locations.
• Driver Issues: For USB ports, ensure your operating system has the latest USB drivers installed.
