1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the RAF R.8003 Infrared Cooker. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your new appliance. Please read it thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.

The RAF R.8003 Infrared Cooker offers versatile cooking capabilities with adjustable power from 100W to 3500W. Its ceramic plate ensures stable and precise heat delivery, making various cooking tasks easier, from simmering to deep frying, roasting, steaming, slow cooking, and grilling. It features high thermal efficiency, reaching up to 93%, for rapid cooking. A dedicated boiling water function can boil 1000ml of water in approximately five minutes.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

  • Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

  • Notice: The ceramic plate is hot after cooking, please do not touch with your hand.

4. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the cooker from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the appliance (at least 10 cm clearance from walls or other objects).
  3. Power Connection: Ensure the voltage of your power outlet matches the appliance's requirements (220V). Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  4. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the ceramic surface with a damp cloth.

5. Operating Instructions

The RAF R.8003 features a smart touch panel and a rotary knob for control.

  1. Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF button to turn the cooker on or off. The display will illuminate.
  2. Select Cooking Mode: Press the desired function button: Fried, BBQ, Soup, or Function (for general cooking).
  3. Adjust Power/Temperature: For modes like Fried or BBQ, use the rotary knob (labeled with '+' and '-') to adjust the power level from 100W to 2200W. The Soup mode is typically pre-set and cannot be adjusted.
  4. Set Timer: Press the Timer button. Use the rotary knob to set the desired cooking time, from 1 to 180 minutes. The cooker will automatically turn off once the timer expires.
  5. Boiling Water Function: If available as a specific function, select it. This function is optimized for quickly boiling water.
  6. Inner and Outer Ring Heating: Some models may offer selection between inner and outer heating rings for different pot sizes. Refer to the control panel for this option.
  7. After Cooking: Turn off the cooker by pressing the ON/OFF button and unplug it from the power outlet. Allow the ceramic plate to cool completely before cleaning.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your infrared cooker.

  • Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Ceramic Surface: Wipe the ceramic cooktop with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive ceramic cooktop cleaner. Do not use abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, or steel wool, as these can scratch the surface.
  • Body: Wipe the exterior body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the cooker in water or any other liquid.
  • Ventilation Openings: Ensure the ventilation openings on the underside and sides of the cooker are free from dust and debris to prevent overheating. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to clean them if necessary.
  • Storage: Store the cooker in a dry place when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your RAF R.8003 Infrared Cooker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
