1. Safety Information

Please read and understand all instructions before beginning installation. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, fire, or other injuries that could be hazardous or even fatal. Keep these instructions for future reference.

• WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power at the fuse or circuit breaker before installing or servicing.
• This product must be installed in accordance with the applicable installation code by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved.
• Ensure all electrical connections are made correctly and in accordance with local codes and ordinances.
• Do not modify the fixture. Any modifications may render the product unsafe and void the warranty.
• Suitable for damp locations.
• IC rated, meaning the junction box is thermally protected and suitable for direct contact with insulation.

2. Product Overview

The VOLISUN 6-inch Ultra-Thin LED Recessed Lighting offers versatile illumination with adjustable color temperature and dimming capabilities. Designed for easy installation, these fixtures are energy-efficient and certified for safety and performance.

Key Features:

• 5 Color Temperature (5CCT): A 5-position switch on the junction box allows selection of five color temperatures: 2700K (Warm White), 3000K (Soft White), 3500K (Neutral White), 4000K (Cool White), and 5000K (Daylight). This feature allows users to customize the lighting ambiance.
• High Brightness & Energy Saving: 1080 lumens output with only 13 watts power consumption, nearly equivalent to a 120W halogen lamp. Energy Star certified for significant energy savings.
• Smooth Dimmability: The lights are 100%-5% smoothly dimmable, offering flicker-free and noise-free operation. They are compatible with most standard dimmers.
• Ultra-Thin Design: Requires only 2 inches of ceiling space, suitable for various ceiling types and joists.
• Safety Certifications: The fixture is IC rated, ensuring the junction box is thermally protected and safe for direct contact with insulation. It is ETL/UL certified, confirming adherence to high safety and quality standards, including UL-certified wire terminals.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for safe and proper installation of your VOLISUN recessed lighting fixture. Ensure power is disconnected before starting.

1. Prepare the Ceiling: Use the provided 1:1 hole template to mark and cut a hole in the ceiling. The fixture requires a minimum of 2 inches of ceiling space.
2. Connect Wiring: Open the junction box (J-box). Connect the household electrical wires to the corresponding wires in the J-box (black to black, white to white, ground to ground). Secure connections with wire nuts or push-in connectors as appropriate. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
3. Connect Light Panel: Connect the cable from the light panel to the J-box. Ensure the connection is firm.
4. Select Color Temperature: Before mounting, locate the 5CCT switch on the side of the J-box. Slide the switch to your desired color temperature (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K).
5. Mount Light: Gently push the spring clips on the sides of the light panel upwards and insert the fixture into the ceiling hole. The clips will secure the light in place.
6. Restore Power: Once all fixtures are installed, restore power at the circuit breaker.

4. Operating Instructions

Your VOLISUN recessed lights are designed for ease of use and customization.

• Color Temperature Selection: The color temperature (CCT) is set using a switch on the side of the J-box before installation. If you wish to change the CCT after installation, you will need to carefully remove the fixture to access the switch.
• Dimming Function: These lights are compatible with most standard LED dimmers (100%-5% dimmable). Use a compatible dimmer switch to adjust the brightness level to your preference. Ensure the dimmer is suitable for LED lighting to prevent flickering or damage.

5. Maintenance

VOLISUN LED recessed lights are designed for long-term, maintenance-free operation. However, general care can help preserve their appearance and performance.

• Cleaning: Ensure power is off before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the finish or electrical components.
• Bulb Replacement: The LED light source is integrated and not user-replaceable. The fixture has a long lifespan of approximately 50,000 hours.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the fixture for any signs of damage or loose connections. If any issues are found, disconnect power and consult a qualified electrician.
