4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Helicopter Battery
- Connect the USB charging cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
- Connect the other end of the charging cable to the helicopter's charging port.
- The charging indicator light will show the charging status (refer to charger's specific light indications).
- Once fully charged, disconnect the battery from the charger.
4.2 Installing Transmitter Batteries
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Insert the required batteries (e.g., AA batteries, not included) according to the polarity markings.
- Close the battery compartment securely.
4.3 Binding the Helicopter and Transmitter
- Ensure both the helicopter and transmitter batteries are fully charged.
- Turn on the helicopter first. Place it on a flat, stable surface.
- Within 5 seconds, turn on the remote control transmitter.
- The indicator lights on both devices will flash during the binding process and become solid once successfully bound.
- If binding fails, turn off both devices and repeat the process.
4.4 Pre-Flight Check
- Check all rotor blades for damage or cracks.
- Ensure the landing skids are securely attached.
- Verify that the helicopter battery is fully charged and securely installed.
- Confirm the transmitter batteries are fresh or fully charged.
- Test control stick movements on the transmitter before powering up the helicopter's rotors.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Controls
Familiarize yourself with the transmitter controls:
- Left Stick (Throttle/Yaw): Up/Down controls altitude (throttle), Left/Right controls rotation (yaw).
- Right Stick (Pitch/Roll): Up/Down controls forward/backward movement (pitch), Left/Right controls side-to-side movement (roll).
- Trim Buttons: Used to fine-tune the helicopter's stability if it drifts in a certain direction.
5.2 Taking Off
- Place the helicopter on a flat, level surface in an open area.
- Ensure the binding process is complete.
- Slowly push the left stick (throttle) upwards. The main rotor blades will begin to spin.
- Increase throttle gradually until the helicopter lifts off the ground. Avoid sudden movements.
- Maintain a stable hover at a low altitude initially.
5.3 Flying
Practice gentle movements with the control sticks. Small inputs are often sufficient for precise control.
- Forward/Backward: Gently push the right stick up or down.
- Side-to-Side: Gently push the right stick left or right.
- Turning: Use the left stick left or right to rotate the helicopter.
5.4 Landing
- Maneuver the helicopter to a clear landing spot.
- Slowly and steadily pull the left stick (throttle) downwards to decrease altitude.
- Once the helicopter touches down, continue to hold the throttle down until the rotors stop spinning completely.
- Turn off the helicopter first, then the remote control.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the helicopter after each flight. Do not use water or chemical cleaners.
- Rotor Blades: Regularly inspect rotor blades for any signs of damage, cracks, or bends. Replace damaged blades immediately.
- Storage: Store the helicopter and transmitter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries from the transmitter if storing for extended periods.
- Battery Care: Do not overcharge or over-discharge the helicopter battery. Allow it to cool down before recharging.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Helicopter does not respond | Low battery (helicopter or transmitter), Not bound, Power switch off | Charge batteries, Re-bind, Turn on power switches |
| Helicopter drifts | Uneven trim, Damaged blades, Wind | Adjust trim buttons, Replace damaged blades, Fly in calm conditions |
| Rotors spin but helicopter won't lift | Low battery, Damaged blades, Obstruction | Charge battery, Replace blades, Clear obstruction |
| Short flight time | Battery not fully charged, Old battery | Ensure full charge, Consider replacing battery |
