Operating Instructions
Your Marelli Impact 2655B chair is designed for ergonomic comfort and adjustability.
Chair Height Adjustment
To adjust the chair height, locate the lever on the right side, beneath the seat.
- To raise the seat: Lift the lever while taking your weight off the seat. The seat will rise automatically.
- To lower the seat: Lift the lever while remaining seated. The seat will lower under your weight.
- Release the lever to lock the seat at the desired height.
Tilt Mechanism and Lock
The chair features a tilt mechanism for reclining.
- To enable tilt: Pull the same lever (used for height adjustment) outwards from the chair.
- To lock the tilt: Push the lever inwards towards the chair when the backrest is in the upright position.
Tilt Tension Adjustment
A round knob located under the front-center of the seat controls the tilt tension.
- Turn clockwise to increase tension (requires more force to recline).
- Turn counter-clockwise to decrease tension (requires less force to recline).
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help preserve the appearance and functionality of your chair.
- Cleaning Fabric: For general cleaning, use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and loose particles. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild fabric cleaner according to the product instructions, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
- Cleaning Plastic/Metal Parts: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Caster Maintenance: Periodically check casters for accumulated hair or debris and clean as necessary to ensure smooth movement.
- Hardware Check: Every six months, inspect all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Retighten if loose to prevent wobbling or instability.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Marelli Impact 2655B chair, refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Chair does not adjust height. | Gas lift cylinder malfunction or lever not engaged. | Ensure the height adjustment lever is fully engaged. If the problem persists, the gas lift may need replacement. Contact customer support. |
| Chair wobbles or feels unstable. | Loose screws or improper assembly. | Check all assembly screws (seat, backrest, armrests) and tighten them firmly. Ensure the gas lift is properly seated in the base. |
| Casters do not roll smoothly. | Debris caught in casters. | Turn the chair over and remove any hair, dust, or debris from the caster wheels. |
