Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of your Redodo 12V 280Ah LiFePO4 Lithium Battery. Please read it thoroughly before installation and operation.
- Low-Temp Cutoff for Cold Weather: Built-in sensor stops charging below 0°C/32°F and resumes automatically above it. Discharge is possible down to -20°C/-4°F, ensuring safe operation in various conditions.
- Upgraded BMS with Full Protection: Features a 200A Battery Management System (BMS) with 8 safeguards: overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, overheating, short circuit, dust, water, and salt spray protection.
- High Capacity & Expandable: Provides 3584Wh per battery. Supports up to 4 batteries in series and 4 in parallel, allowing for a maximum configuration of 4S4P (48V 1120Ah, 57.34kWh total).
- Long Lifespan & Grade A Cells: Utilizes EV-grade LiFePO4 cells, offering 4000+ cycles at 100% Depth of Discharge (DOD) and an estimated 10-year service life. Features a low 3% monthly self-discharge rate.
- Easy Charging: Compatible with various charging methods, including an optimal 14.6V 56A LiFePO4 battery charger, a solar panel (≥1200W) with controller, or a 56A DC to DC charger and a generator.
Setup
Before initial use, carefully unbox and inspect the battery for any damage. Ensure all included components are present.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your Redodo LiFePO4 battery.
Charging
The battery can be charged using a 14.6V 56A LiFePO4 battery charger, solar panels (≥1200W) with a compatible controller, or a 56A DC to DC charger with a generator. Always use chargers specifically designed for LiFePO4 batteries.

Storage
For long-term storage, ensure the battery is charged to approximately 50% State of Charge (SOC) and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The low self-discharge rate of 3% per month helps maintain charge during storage.
Temperature Considerations
The built-in low-temperature cutoff protection prevents charging below 0°C (32°F) and allows discharge down to -20°C (-4°F). Charging automatically resumes when the temperature rises above 5°C (41°F).

Troubleshooting
The integrated BMS provides comprehensive protection. If the battery is not functioning as expected, check the following:
- No Power Output: Check if the BMS has triggered a protection mode (e.g., over-discharge, over-current, short circuit). Disconnect the load and allow the battery to rest or attempt to charge it with a compatible LiFePO4 charger to reset the BMS.
- Not Charging: Verify that the charger is specifically for LiFePO4 batteries and that the temperature is above 0°C (32°F). Ensure all connections are secure and correct polarity is maintained.
- Low Voltage: If the battery voltage is unusually low, the over-discharge protection may have activated. Attempt to charge the battery immediately.
- Overheating: The BMS includes overheating protection. If the battery feels excessively hot, disconnect it from the load/charger and allow it to cool down in a well-ventilated area.
