  • Do not store the emergency keys inside the safe. Keep them in a secure location outside the safe.
  • Ensure the safe is securely mounted to a wall, shelf, or floor to prevent unauthorized removal.
  • Keep the safe away from extreme temperatures and humidity.
  • Use only AA 1.5V alkaline batteries for power. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.
  • If the safe will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all items are present in the package:

  • ARREGUI 650110 Electronic Steel Safe

  1. Choose a Location: Select a discreet and secure location for your safe.
  2. Mark Drilling Points: The safe has pre-drilled holes (2 at the base and 2 on the back, 9mm diameter). Position the safe and mark the drilling points on the desired surface.
  3. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points using an appropriate drill bit for your surface (e.g., masonry bit for concrete, wood bit for wood).
  4. Secure the Safe: Align the safe's holes with the drilled holes. Insert the provided mounting screws and tighten them securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power Supply

The safe is powered by 4 x AA 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included). The battery compartment is located on the inside of the safe door. Insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-).

A red LED light on the keyboard will illuminate to warn you when the batteries are low and need replacement.

5.2. Setting Programmable Codes

The safe features two programmable opening codes: a master code and a user code. Both codes can be 3 to 6 digits long, offering 1 million possible combinations.

Refer to the specific instructions provided on a separate sheet or within the safe for the exact procedure to set or change these codes, as it typically involves pressing a reset button inside the safe and then entering the new code on the keypad.

5.3. Opening the Safe with Electronic Lock

  1. Enter your programmed master or user code on the electronic keypad.
  2. If the code is correct, a green LED will light up.
  3. Within 5 seconds, turn the rotary knob clockwise to open the safe door.

If three incorrect codes are entered consecutively, the safe's lock will temporarily activate a protective mode, preventing further attempts for a short period.

5.4. Emergency Opening

In case of forgotten code, worn-out batteries, or keypad malfunction, the safe can be opened using the emergency key.

  1. Locate the emergency keyhole, usually hidden behind a small cover on the keypad panel.
  2. Insert one of the provided emergency keys into the keyhole.
  3. Turn the key clockwise while simultaneously turning the rotary knob to open the safe door.
  4. Once the safe is open, you can replace the batteries or reset the code as needed.
