2. Important Safety Instructions

3. Setup Guide

Unpacking and Placement:

Carefully remove all packaging materials. Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit (at least 5 inches of space on all sides).

Initial Cleaning:

Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker. Remove the ice basket and pull-out water tank. Wash them with mild detergent and warm water. Wipe the interior with a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry all parts before reassembling.

4. Operating Your Ice Maker

Water Filling:

The Silonn ice maker features a convenient pull-out water tank for easy refilling. Simply pull out the tank, fill it with clean, potable water up to the MAX fill line, and slide it back into place until it clicks securely.

Ice Production:

Once the water tank is filled and properly seated, press the 'ON/OFF' button on the control panel. The ice maker will begin its ice-making cycle. The first batch of nugget ice is typically ready within 10 minutes. The machine will continue to produce ice until the ice basket is full or the water tank is empty.

Control Panel and Indicators:

The LED control panel provides clear status indicators:

  • Making Ice: Indicates the machine is actively producing ice.
  • Ice Basket Full: Lights up when the ice basket is at capacity, pausing ice production.
  • Self-Cleaning: Illuminates during the self-cleaning cycle.
  • Water Tank Empty: Signals that the water tank needs refilling.

5. Care and Maintenance

Daily Cleaning:

For optimal performance and hygiene, it is recommended to clean the ice basket and water tank daily. Remove them, wash with mild soap and water, rinse thoroughly, and dry before returning to the unit.

Self-Cleaning Function:

The ice maker features a self-cleaning function for convenient internal maintenance. To activate, ensure the water tank is filled, then press and hold the 'CLEAN' button for 5 seconds. The machine will run a cleaning cycle, circulating water through its internal components. After the cycle, drain any remaining water and wipe dry.

Descaling:

Over time, mineral deposits from water can build up inside the ice maker, affecting its performance. Descale your ice maker regularly, especially if you live in a hard water area. It is recommended to descale monthly in moderately hard water areas and every two to three weeks in hard to very hard water areas. Use a descaling solution specifically designed for ice makers or a mixture of water and white vinegar (refer to product-specific descaling instructions for ratios).
