2.2 Installing the Anti-Fog Sheet (Pinlock)

The mist-retardant CNS-3C Pinlock shield is crucial for clear vision in various weather conditions. If not pre-installed, carefully follow the instructions provided with the Pinlock insert to attach it to the main visor. Ensure the silicone bead on the Pinlock insert creates a tight seal against the visor to prevent fogging.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safety of your helmet. Always refer to the detailed instructions in the official User Manual (PDF) for comprehensive cleaning and care procedures.

4.1 Cleaning the Exterior

Use a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water to clean the helmet's exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish and shell material. Dry thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth.

4.2 Visor Care

Remove the visor for cleaning. Use only warm water and a soft cloth. For stubborn dirt, a specialized helmet visor cleaner can be used. Do not use harsh chemicals. The Pinlock insert should be cleaned separately with a soft, damp cloth and allowed to air dry.

4.3 Interior Liner Removal and Cleaning

The interior comfort liner and cheek pads are removable for cleaning. Gently detach them from the helmet shell. Hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water, or machine wash on a gentle cycle in a mesh laundry bag. Air dry completely before re-installing. Ensure all components are dry to prevent mildew and odors.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Visor Fogging

If your visor fogs up despite the Pinlock insert, ensure the Pinlock is correctly installed and sealed against the main visor. Adjusting the helmet's ventilation by opening the chin and top vents can also help reduce fogging by increasing airflow.

5.2 Excessive Wind Noise

While the Neotec 3 is designed for aerodynamic excellence and reduced wind noise, some noise may occur, especially with vents open. Ensure the visor is fully closed and sealed. Check that the cheek pads are properly seated and provide a snug fit. If noise persists, consider using earplugs for extended rides.

5.3 Chin Bar Not Latching Securely

If the modular chin bar does not latch securely, check for any obstructions in the locking mechanism. Ensure the chin bar is fully lowered and pushed firmly until you hear a distinct click. If the issue persists, inspect the mechanism for damage or wear.
