Setup
Battery Installation
Your GoodBaby No-Touch Thermometer requires two AAA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating Instructions
Taking a Forehead Temperature
- Ensure the thermometer is in Forehead Mode (indicated by a head icon on the display). If not, press the Mode button to switch.
- Hold the thermometer approximately 0.3-1.5 inches (1-3 cm) from the center of the forehead.
- Press the measurement button (usually the large button on the front).
- The temperature reading will appear on the display within 1 second.

Taking an Object/Room Temperature
- Switch the thermometer to Object Mode (indicated by an object icon or similar).
- Point the thermometer at the object or area you wish to measure (e.g., baby's milk bottle, room surface).
- Press the measurement button.
- The temperature reading will be displayed.

Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F)
To switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, power on the device and then press and hold the 'Mem' button for a few seconds until the unit changes. Release and press again to toggle.
Silent Mode
The thermometer features a silent mode to take measurements without audible beeps, ideal for not disturbing sleeping individuals. To activate or deactivate silent mode, press the speaker icon button on the device.

Memory Recall
The thermometer can store up to 35 previous readings. To access these, press the 'Mem' button. Each press will cycle through the stored temperatures.

Display Indicators
The thermometer's backlit display uses color-coding to provide a quick visual indication of the temperature status:
- Green: Normal temperature range.
- Orange: Slightly elevated temperature.
- Red: Indicates a fever (temperature above 100.4°F / 38°C).

Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Wipe the thermometer clean with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.
- Storage: Store the thermometer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display.

- No Power: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace if necessary.
- Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the thermometer is held at the correct distance from the forehead or object. Avoid taking measurements in areas with strong airflow or extreme temperature changes.
- Display Errors: If an error message appears, refer to the quick start guide for specific codes or try resetting the device by removing and reinserting the batteries.
