4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your VSDISPLAY monitor:

  1. Connect Video Source:
    • For Mini HDMI connection: Use the provided Mini HDMI to HDMI cable to connect the monitor's Mini HD port to your computer's HDMI port.
    • For USB-C connection: Use a compatible USB-C cable to connect the monitor's USB-C port to your computer's USB-C port that supports video output (DisplayPort Alternate Mode).
  2. Connect Power:
    • Connect the USB-C Power Cable or USB to USB-C Power Cable to the monitor's USB-C power input port and then to a suitable USB power adapter (not included) or a powered USB port on your computer.
    • Alternatively, if using the DC port for power, connect a compatible DC power adapter (not included) to the DC port.
  3. Power On: Press the On/Off button on the side of the monitor to power it on.
  4. Configure Display Settings:
    • Your computer should automatically detect the new display. If not, go to your operating system's display settings to detect and configure the monitor.
    • Adjust resolution to 1920x720 for optimal display.
    • For touch functionality, ensure the USB-C connection is used for both video and touch, or connect a separate USB cable from the monitor's USB-C port to your computer for touch data if using Mini HDMI for video.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Use the dedicated On/Off button on the side of the monitor.
  • Menu Navigation: Use the menu buttons located on the side to access and navigate the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu for adjusting settings such as brightness, contrast, color, and input source.
  • Volume Control: If connected via a signal source that transmits audio, the integrated speakers will output sound. Volume can typically be controlled via your connected device.

5.2 Touch Functionality

The monitor supports 5-point capacitive touch. Ensure the USB-C connection is properly established for touch data transmission. Once connected, you can interact with your operating system directly on the screen, performing actions such as swiping, scrolling, selecting, zooming in/out, and moving the cursor.

6. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning the Screen: Gently wipe the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, dampen the cloth slightly with water or a non-abrasive screen cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Cleaning the Casing: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the monitor casing.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the monitor in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid Liquids: Do not expose the monitor to liquids. If liquid spills on the monitor, immediately disconnect power and allow it to dry completely before re-connecting.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Volume too low or muted.
  • Incorrect audio output device selected on computer.
  • Video source does not transmit audio.
  • Adjust volume on your computer.
  • Ensure the monitor is selected as the default audio output device in your computer's sound settings.
  • Confirm that your video source (e.g., Mini HDMI or USB-C) is capable of transmitting audio.
