1. Introduction

3. Product Overview
3.1 Front Panel Layout

- Voltage Setting / To switch AC voltage or DC voltage: Used to adjust the output voltage or select AC/DC voltage measurement in multimeter mode.
- Current setting / To switch AC current or DC current: Used to adjust the output current limit or select AC/DC current measurement in multimeter mode.
- Over voltage protection, Over current protection / Switch resistance, capacitance, diode and continuity measurement types: Multi-function knob for setting protection limits and selecting multimeter measurement modes.
- Switch different display modes: Button to cycle through various display modes on the LCD.
- Switch between DC power supply or Multimeter modes: Button to toggle between the power supply and multimeter functionalities.
- Adjustment knob: Rotary encoder for fine-tuning settings.
- Channel output on/off button: Controls the output of the power supply. A long press activates the automatic output function.
- Front USB port, output 5V/1A: USB port for charging external devices.
- Multimeter voltage and current measurement sockets: Red is positive, black is negative.

3.2 Rear Panel Layout

- Intelligent temperature control fan: Automatically adjusts speed based on internal temperature for efficient heat dissipation.
- Fuse: Protects the device from overcurrent.
- Power switch: Main power ON/OFF switch for the unit.
- Power cord socket: Input for the AC power cord.
- USB Device communication port: Supports SCPI commands for remote control and data logging.
4. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the SPM6103 and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
- Placement: Place the unit on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation around the intelligent temperature control fan on the rear panel.
- Power Connection: Connect the provided power cord to the power cord socket on the rear panel of the SPM6103, then plug the other end into a grounded AC power outlet.
- Initial Power On: Flip the power switch on the rear panel to the 'ON' position. The LCD display should illuminate, indicating the unit is powered on.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 DC Power Supply Mode
The SPM6103 functions as a programmable DC power supply with adjustable voltage and current limits.
- Setting Voltage: Press the Voltage Setting button (1) and use the Adjustment knob (6) to set the desired output voltage.
- Setting Current Limit: Press the Current setting button (2) and use the Adjustment knob (6) to set the desired output current limit. This acts as a safety feature to prevent overcurrent.
- Output ON/OFF: Press the Channel output on/off button (7) to enable or disable the power output. The display will indicate the output status. A long press on this button activates the automatic output function.
- Circuit Protection (OVP/OCP): The device features Over Voltage Protection (OVP) and Over Current Protection (OCP). These can be set via the Over voltage protection, Over current protection button (3) to protect your connected circuit from damage. The intelligent CV/DC switching mode also contributes to effective circuit protection.
- USB Charging Port: The front USB port (8) provides a 5V/1A output for charging mobile phones or other compatible devices.

The SPM6103 supports SCPI commands via its rear USB communication port, allowing for remote control and automation of the power supply functions.
5.2 Multimeter Function
The SPM6103 integrates a 4 1/2 digit multimeter for various electrical measurements.
- Switching to Multimeter Mode: Press the Switch between DC power supply or Multimeter modes button (5) to toggle to multimeter mode.
- Connecting Test Leads: Insert the multimeter test leads into the Multimeter voltage and current measurement sockets (9). Ensure the red lead is in the positive (+) socket and the black lead in the negative (COM) socket.
- Selecting Measurement Type: Use the Over voltage protection, Over current protection button (3) to cycle through measurement types such as voltage, current, capacitance, resistance, continuity, and diode test.
- Reading Measurements: The 2.8-inch LCD screen will display the measurement readings with high resolution (10mV/1mA).

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the power supply before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ventilation: Regularly check that the ventilation openings on the rear panel are free from dust and obstructions to ensure proper heat dissipation.
- Fuse Replacement: If the unit fails to power on, check the fuse located on the rear panel. Replace it only with a fuse of the same type and rating (refer to specifications for details). Ensure the unit is disconnected from power before attempting fuse replacement.
