4. Installation & Setup

Proper installation is crucial for the efficient operation of your portable air conditioner.

4.1 Placement Considerations:

• Place the unit on a firm, level surface near a window or opening where the exhaust hose can be vented.
• Ensure there is at least 20 inches (50 cm) of space around the unit for proper airflow.
• Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

4.2 Window Kit Installation:

1. Assemble the window slider kit according to your window's dimensions. The kit is adjustable for various window sizes.
2. Insert the exhaust hose adapter into the exhaust air outlet on the back of the unit.
3. Connect the other end of the exhaust hose to the window slider kit adapter.
4. Open the window and place the assembled window slider kit securely in the window opening. Close the window against the kit to seal it.
5. Ensure the exhaust hose is not kinked or bent sharply, as this can restrict airflow and reduce efficiency.

5. Operating Instructions

Your portable air conditioner can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the wireless remote control.

5.1 Control Panel:

The control panel features an LED display and various buttons for controlling the unit's functions. Refer to the diagram in your physical manual for specific button layouts.

• Power Button: Turns the unit ON or OFF.
• Mode Button: Cycles through Cooling, Dehumidifier, and Fan modes.
• Temperature Up/Down Buttons: Adjusts the desired temperature in Cooling mode.
• Fan Speed Button: Selects fan speed (Low, Medium, High).

5.2 Remote Control:

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Air Filter:

The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently depending on usage and air quality.

1. Turn off the unit and unplug it from the power outlet.
2. Locate the air filter behind the rear intake grille. Remove the filter.
3. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.

6.2 Draining Condensed Water:

The unit has a self-evaporative system, but in high humidity conditions, water may accumulate and need manual draining. The unit will indicate when draining is required.

1. Turn off the unit and unplug it.
2. Place a shallow pan or tray under the drain port at the bottom rear of the unit.
3. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out.
4. Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.

6.3 Storage:

If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure it is completely dry inside to prevent mold and mildew.

1. Drain all condensed water from the unit.
2. Clean the air filter.
3. Run the unit in Fan mode for a few hours to dry the internal components.
4. Unplug the unit and coil the power cord.
5. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, covered to protect it from dust.
