Setup
- Unboxing: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Remove any protective film or stickers from the robot and base.
- Charging Base Placement:
- Place the Self-Empty Base on a hard, level surface with its back against a wall.
- Ensure there is at least 3 feet (0.9 meters) of clear space on either side of the base and 5 feet (1.5 meters) in front of it.
- Plug the base into a power outlet. The indicator light on the base will illuminate.
- Initial Charge: Place the robot onto the charging base. Ensure the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the base. The robot will begin charging. Allow for a full charge before first use (approximately 6 hours).
- Download the SharkClean App: Download the SharkClean app from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot to your home Wi-Fi network.
- Initial Mapping Run: Once connected, initiate an Explore Run through the app. The robot will navigate your home to create a map, which is crucial for efficient cleaning. Ensure all doors are open and clear any obstacles.

Cleaning Modes
- Matrix Clean: This mode uses a precision grid pattern, making multiple passes over debris to ensure thorough cleaning. Activate via the app.
- Whole Home Clean: The robot cleans all accessible areas of your mapped home.
- Room Clean: Select specific rooms to clean using the SharkClean app.
- Spot Clean: Direct the robot to clean a specific small area for targeted mess removal.
Scheduling
Use the SharkClean app to set up recurring cleaning schedules for your robot vacuum. You can customize cleaning times and days.
Voice Control
Integrate your robot vacuum with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for hands-free control. Follow the instructions in the SharkClean app to link your accounts. Common commands include:
- "Alexa, tell Shark to start cleaning."
- "Hey Google, ask Shark to clean the living room."
Advanced Features
- Precision Mapping: The robot uses 360° LiDAR vision for accurate home mapping, enabling efficient navigation day or night.
- Object Detect: The robot intelligently detects and avoids objects in its path, navigating around them to prevent collisions.
- CleanEdge Detect: This feature uses blasts of air to pull debris from corners and edges into the cleaning path for enhanced edge cleaning.

Self-Empty Base Dust Bin
- The Self-Empty Base holds up to 30 days of dirt and debris.
- When the base's dust bin is full, the app will notify you.
- To empty, simply remove the dust bin from the base and dispose of the contents.
Robot Dust Bin
- Even with the self-empty feature, it is recommended to periodically check and manually empty the robot's internal dust bin.
- Press the dust bin release button on the robot, pull out the bin, and empty it over a trash receptacle.
Self-Cleaning Brushroll
- The brushroll is designed to be self-cleaning and anti-hair wrap, especially effective for pet hair.
- Periodically inspect the brushroll for any tangled hair or debris that may have accumulated. Use scissors to carefully cut away any stubborn wraps.
HEPA Filter
- The HEPA filter is located in the robot's dust bin.
- Remove the filter and tap it clean over a trash bin to remove loose dirt. Do not wash the HEPA filter with water.
- Replace the filter every 6-12 months, or as needed, for optimal suction and filtration.
Side Brush
- Inspect the side brush for wear or damage.
- If necessary, remove the old brush by gently pulling it off and snap a new one into place.
Sensors and Charging Pads
- Wipe the cliff sensors, bumper sensors, and charging pads on both the robot and the base with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust and debris.
