5. Maintenance and Care
Cleaning
- The PU leather upholstery is designed for easy cleaning. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth to remove dust and spills.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the upholstery.
- For stubborn stains, use a mild soap solution on a soft cloth, then wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
General Care
- Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary to maintain stability and safety.
- Avoid exposing the recliner to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, which can cause the material to fade or crack over time.
- Keep sharp objects away from the upholstery to prevent punctures or tears.
6. Troubleshooting
Squeaking Noise During Swivel
If the chair produces a squeaking noise when swiveling, it may indicate that the swivel mechanism requires lubrication.
- Carefully tilt the chair to access the swivel base.
- Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant or a similar non-staining lubricant to the moving parts of the swivel mechanism.
- Rotate the chair several times to distribute the lubricant.
- If the squeaking persists, ensure all connections to the base are secure.
Difficulty Reclining or Extending Footrest
- Ensure there are no obstructions behind or in front of the chair that might impede its movement.
- Check that all assembly bolts are securely tightened but not overtightened, which could restrict movement.
- Verify that the reclining mechanism is free of debris.
