4. Setup & Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of your CAMECHO car stereo. Professional installation is recommended.
4.1 Preparing for Installation
- Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off and the battery is disconnected before starting.
- Gather necessary tools: screwdriver, panel removal tool (included), 7mm socket wrench.
4.2 Removing the Factory Radio
- Carefully pry out the rubber piece above the factory radio using a panel removal tool.
- Remove the two 7mm bolts located underneath the rubber piece.
- Gently pry on the air vents on both sides of the radio to loosen the factory frame.
- Remove the air conditioning accessories (vents) from the factory frame.
- Carefully pry out the Microsoft Sync plug-in unit from the bottom section of the factory frame.
- Remove the two 7mm bolts securing the Microsoft Sync unit.
- Remove the factory frame by pulling it out.
- Unplug all OEM connectors from the factory radio and the Microsoft Sync unit.
- Remove the head unit by unscrewing the four bolts securing it.

4.3 Preparing the New Unit
- Remove the factory hazard switch from the factory frame.
- Remove the 12V cigarette lighter from the factory frame.
- Remove the clips from the factory frame.
- Install the removed clips onto the new frame.
- Transfer the traction control and hazard switch to the new frame.
- Install the HVAC control unit into the new frame.
- Install the screws for the kits.
- Install the new cigarette lighter kit into the new frame.
4.4 Connecting Antennas and Cables
- Connect the 4G Antenna to the designated port on the head unit.
- Connect the GPS Antenna to the designated port on the head unit and mount it securely on the dashboard.
- Connect the Radio Antenna to the designated port on the head unit.
- Connect the 4-Pin USB cable and 6-Pin USB cable to the head unit.
- Connect the 20-Pin RCA cable to the head unit.
- Connect the Power Cable to the head unit.
- Connect the Canbus to the Power Cable.
- Connect the Trumpet (speaker) to the head unit.
- Connect the Steering Wheel Control Adapter.
- Connect the Rear Camera Signal Wire and External Mic.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Initial Power On and UI Selection
- After installation, turn on the vehicle's ignition. The unit should power on automatically.
- Navigate to 'Car Setting' -> 'Factory Setting' (password: 1234) -> 'Protocol settings' and select 'Xinpu - Ford' for your car to enable steering wheel controls.
- To change the UI theme, go to 'General' settings -> 'Home Launcher Selection' and choose from the available UI options.

5.2 Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto

- For Apple CarPlay: Connect car radio Bluetooth (Bluetooth name "Car BT", PIN: 1234). Ensure "phone audio, music audio" is connected. Click "SpeedPlay". Allow Contacts and Favorites Sync. Use CarPlay with "SpeedPlay".
- For Android Auto: Click "SpeedPlay". Connect your phone into the rear 4-pin USB port with the original data cable. Allow USB debugging.
