1. Product Overview

The Skullcandy Sesh ANC Active Wireless Earbuds are designed for active lifestyles, offering premium active noise canceling, customizable sound, and a durable, waterproof construction. These earbuds provide up to 48 hours of total battery life with the charging case and feature a stable Fit Grip to ensure they stay in place during various activities.

3. Setup

3.1. Initial Power On & Pairing

1. Remove Protective Stickers: For first-time use, remove any protective stickers covering the charging points on both earbuds.
2. Place in Charging Case: Place both earbuds into the charging case. The LED indicators on the earbuds will show amber and white.
3. Remove from Case: Once the LEDs show amber and white, remove both earbuds from the case. They will automatically power on.
4. Pairing Mode: A tone will indicate that your earbuds have powered on, and a voice prompt will say "Ready to pair." The LEDs will pulse blue, indicating they are in pairing mode.
5. Connect to Device:
   • Android (Google Fast Pair): Your Android device will automatically pull up a pairing screen. Click "Connect" to pair.
   • Other Devices: Open the Bluetooth settings on your phone/device. Find and select "Sesh ANC Active" in the list of available devices. Confirm pairing if prompted.

3.2. Multipoint Pairing

Multipoint pairing allows your earbuds to connect to two devices simultaneously, enabling seamless switching between them (e.g., watching a video on a laptop and taking a call on your phone).

1. Ensure your earbuds are powered on and already paired to a first device.
2. Hold the sensor on either earbud for 3 seconds. The voice prompt will say "Ready to pair." The LEDs will pulse blue.
3. Select the second device from its Bluetooth list to pair. A voice prompt will say "Connected."

Note: Multipoint pairing can be disabled in the Skullcandy App if not desired.

3.3. Charging

To charge your earbuds, place them in the charging case. The LEDs on the earbuds will pulse in different colors to indicate the current charge level:

• Amber: 0-40% charge
• White: 41-90% charge
• Solid White: 91-100% charge

The charging case can be charged independently using a USB-C cable, whether the earbuds are inside or not. A 10-minute rapid charge of the case provides over 2 hours of playtime.

3.4. Optimal Fit

Sesh ANC Active is designed for a comfortable and secure fit. To achieve the best fit:

1. Place the earbud in your ear at an angle.
2. Rotate it slightly to the front or back to secure it in place.

The earbud should feel comfortable and stable, and the ear gel should create a nice seal just inside your ear. Experiment with the three included ear gel sizes (small, medium, large) to find the best fit for your ears.

4. Operation

4.1. Default Controls

The earbuds feature intuitive touch controls. The Skullcandy App allows for customization of these controls.

• Play/Pause Audio, Answer Call: Tap either earbud once.
• Track Forward: Tap either earbud twice.
• Reject Incoming Call, End Active Call: Hold either earbud for 1 second.
• Activate Spotify Tap: Hold either earbud for 1 second.
• Toggle ANC/Stay-Aware Mode: Tap either earbud three times.

4.2. Active Noise Canceling (ANC) & Stay-Aware Mode

ANC digitally filters background noise for clearer audio. Stay-Aware Mode allows you to hear your surroundings while enjoying your audio.

• Activating ANC: ANC is activated by default when you turn on your earbuds.
• Toggling Modes: Tap either earbud three times to cycle between ANC On, ANC Off, and Stay-Aware Mode.
• Adjusting Stay-Aware Mode: Use the slider in the Skullcandy App to set Stay-Aware Mode to your preferred level.

Note: ANC and Stay-Aware Modes only function when both earbuds are synced together in stereo mode.

Download the Skullcandy App by scanning the QR code in your Quick Start Guide. Once paired, open the app to access additional features:

• Adjust ANC & Stay-Aware Mode: Customize levels for both modes.
• Mimi® Personal Sound Profile: Tune earbuds to your unique hearing ability for optimized audio.
• Custom Button Settings: Reconfigure button functions to your preference (e.g., play/pause, track forward/back, volume, activate assistant, Spotify Tap, Take Photo).
• EQ Modes: Select from preset EQ modes (Music, Bass Boost, Podcast) or create your own custom 5-Band EQ.
• Low Latency Mode: Improve performance for gaming or streaming videos.
• Take Photo Feature: Use your earbud as a remote to take photos with your device's camera.
• Disable Multipoint Pairing: Turn off multipoint pairing if not needed.
• User Guides & Troubleshooting: Access support resources directly from the app.

6. Solo Mode

Solo Mode allows you to use either earbud independently to stay aware of your surroundings.

1. Simply remove either earbud from the charging case.
2. Your selected earbud will pair and function normally.
3. To use both earbuds again, remove the other bud from the case. Once powered on, audio will stream automatically in stereo mode.

7. Maintenance

The Sesh ANC Active earbuds are built to be durable and are IP67 sweat and waterproof. To ensure longevity and optimal performance:

• Cleaning: Regularly clean the ear gels and charging points with a dry, soft cloth to prevent wax buildup and ensure proper charging.
• Storage: Store the earbuds in their charging case when not in use to protect them and keep them charged.
• Water Exposure: While waterproof, avoid prolonged submersion and ensure earbuds are dry before placing them back in the charging case.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1. Resyncing Earbuds

If you are experiencing issues with audio playing from only one earbud:

1. Ensure both earbuds are powered on and disconnected from all devices (including multipoint paired devices).
2. Tap both earbuds four times simultaneously. The earbuds will begin to pulse white while they resync.
3. Once completed, your buds will flash white five times, and a voice prompt will say "Ready to pair."
4. Reconnect your Bluetooth device.

8.2. Resetting Earbuds

If resyncing does not resolve the issue, you can reset your Sesh ANC Active earbuds to their default settings:

1. First, remove your earbuds from your device's Bluetooth paired list and turn Bluetooth off on your device.
2. Remove both earbuds from the case. A voice prompt will indicate they are powered on.
3. Press the sensor on both earbuds for six seconds.
4. A tone will indicate a successful reset. Both earbuds will quickly flash amber and blue six times.
5. A voice prompt will then say "Ready to pair," and both earbuds will pulse blue.
6. Turn on your device's Bluetooth and select "Sesh ANC Active" to reconnect.

Note: Resetting will also impact your saved settings in the Skullcandy App.
