User Instruction Manual

Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective assembly, operation, and maintenance of your TP Explorer Metal Climbing Frame Set with Slide and Jungle Run Black Edition. Please read all instructions carefully before beginning assembly or use. Retain this manual for future reference.

The TP Explorer is designed for outdoor domestic use by children aged 3 years and above. It features a robust metal frame, a slide, a jungle run, a cargo net entry, a platform, a den, and a ball/sand pit area.

Important Safety Information

  • Adult supervision is required at all times when children are using the climbing frame.
  • Ensure the climbing frame is installed on a level surface with adequate clear space around it.
  • Do not install over concrete, asphalt, or any other hard surface. A shock-absorbing surface (e.g., wood chips, sand, rubber mulch) is recommended.
  • Regularly inspect all components for wear, damage, or loose fastenings. Tighten all bolts and nuts periodically.
  • Maximum user weight for the slide is 30 kg.
  • Keep children away from the product during assembly to prevent injury.
  • This product is for domestic outdoor use only.

Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the TP Explorer Metal Climbing Frame requires two adults and can take approximately 3-4 hours. It is recommended to lay out all parts before beginning assembly and identify them using the provided parts list.

Tools Required:

  • Adjustable Wrench
  • Hex Key Set (usually supplied)
  • Measuring Tape
  • Spirit Level

Assembly Steps:

  1. Unpack and Verify Components: Carefully unpack all boxes and verify that all parts listed in the packing list are present and undamaged. Refer to the diagram for component identification.
  2. Assemble the Base Frame: Connect the main horizontal and vertical frame sections according to the diagrams. Ensure all bolts are finger-tight only at this stage.
  3. Attach Climbing Sections: Secure the climbing rungs and cargo net attachment points to the main frame.
  4. Install Platform and Den: Mount the platform onto the frame. Install the den fabric, ensuring the viewing window and entry/exit points are correctly aligned. The den floor mat should be placed inside the den area.
  5. Attach Slide: Securely attach the Ripple slide to the designated platform opening. Ensure the slide is firmly bolted and stable. This slide is designed for use when the frame is at its full height.
  6. Connect Jungle Run: Attach the jungle run extension to the main frame, ensuring all connection points are secure.
  7. Final Tightening: Once all components are assembled, systematically tighten all nuts and bolts using the appropriate tools. Do not overtighten.
  8. Stability Check: Gently shake the assembled frame to ensure it is stable and all connections are secure.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial to ensure the safety and longevity of your TP Explorer Climbing Frame.

  • Monthly Inspection: Check all nuts, bolts, and other fasteners for tightness. Tighten as necessary.
  • Structural Integrity: Inspect the metal frame for any signs of rust, cracks, or bending. While the frame is guaranteed against rust causing failure for 5 years, surface rust may appear and should be treated.
  • Slide and Den Fabric: Check the slide for cracks or rough edges. Inspect the den fabric for tears or excessive wear. Clean the fabric with mild soap and water if needed.
  • Ground Anchoring: Ensure the frame remains stable and level. Re-level if necessary.
  • Cleaning: Clean the frame and plastic components with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Winter Storage: If possible, disassemble and store the den fabric and slide indoors during harsh winter conditions to prolong their lifespan.
