AquaJoyer Pool Fountain Instruction Manual

Model: POOL-02-A | Brand: AquaJoyer

1. Introduction

The AquaJoyer Pool Fountain is designed to enhance your pool experience by providing a dual-spray waterfall effect. This accessory is compatible with both above-ground and in-ground pools, offering adjustable height and direction for a customized ambiance. Beyond aesthetic appeal, the fountain aids in lowering pool water temperature and promoting water circulation.

Key Features:

  • Universal Compatibility: Designed to fit most 1.5" in-ground pool return jets and 1.5" / 1.25" above-ground pool inlet/outlet fittings.
  • Customizable Ambiance: Features 360° adjustable height and direction, allowing for various spray angles including Cross Water or Parallel Spraying.
  • Refreshing Relaxation: Creates a wide, high spray that can lower pool water temperature by 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit, while providing a soothing sound.
  • Dynamic Dual Spray Design: Delivers double the water volume for an enhanced splash experience.

2. Setup and Installation

Before installation, ensure your filter pump is off. For optimal performance, a filter pump of at least 0.2HP is recommended. A 0.75HP sand pump can achieve a spray distance of up to 10 meters, while a 0.1HP standard filter pump can reach approximately 4 meters.

3. Operating Instructions

Once installed, the AquaJoyer Pool Fountain offers several adjustable features to customize your pool experience.

3.1 Adjusting Spray Direction and Height

The dual spray head can be rotated 360° to direct the water flow as desired. You can also adjust the height of the vertical pipe to achieve different spray patterns, from a gentle arc to a higher, more pronounced waterfall. This allows for versatility in various pool sizes and shapes.

3.2 Controlling Water Pressure

The integrated pressure regulator valve allows you to control the intensity of the water spray. By adjusting the opening, you can achieve different pressure levels:

  • Fully Closed: High pressure, resulting in a strong, concentrated spray.
  • Partially Open: Medium pressure, for a balanced spray.
  • Fully Open: Low pressure, for a gentler, wider spray.

3.3 Cooling and Circulation

The fountain's design maximizes water exposure to the air, facilitating evaporative cooling. This process can effectively reduce your pool's water temperature by 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit, making your swimming experience more comfortable during hot weather. The continuous water movement also aids in overall pool water circulation.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your AquaJoyer Pool Fountain.

  • Regular Cleaning: Periodically remove the fountain piece and clean any debris or mineral buildup from the nozzles. A toothpick can be used to clear small obstructions.
  • Inspect Gaskets: Check the rubber gaskets for wear and tear to ensure a watertight seal. Replace if necessary.
  • Winterization: In colder climates, remove the fountain from the pool before freezing temperatures to prevent damage. Store in a dry, protected area.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your AquaJoyer Pool Fountain, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:

  • Reduced Spray Pressure: Check the pressure regulator valve to ensure it is not fully open (low pressure setting). Also, inspect the nozzles for clogs and clean them as described in the Maintenance section.
  • Leaks at Connections: Ensure all threaded connections are tightened securely. Check the rubber gaskets for proper seating and any signs of damage.
  • Fountain Not Stationary: If the fountain does not sit upright as desired or has too much play in the swivel, ensure all connecting nuts are fully tightened.
