4. Setup

1. Charge the Unit: Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the charging port located under the rubber cover on the side of the borescope unit. Charge until the battery indicator shows full.
2. Insert SD Card: Ensure the 32GB Micro SD card is securely inserted into the SD card slot, also located under the rubber cover. Press gently until it clicks into place. To remove, press again to eject.
3. Connect Camera Cable: Firmly plug the 16.5FT triple lens camera cable into the designated port on the top of the borescope unit.
4. Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually a red or orange button) on the unit for a few seconds until the DEPSTECH logo appears on the screen.
5. Initial Setup: Upon first use, the unit may prompt you to select a language. Use the navigation buttons to choose your preferred language (e.g., English).

5. Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button to turn the unit on or off.
2. Navigate Menus: Use the directional buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right) to navigate through menus and settings. Press the 'OK' button to confirm selections.
3. Switch Camera Views: The DS520 features multiple lenses. Use the dedicated button (often labeled with a camera icon or arrows) to cycle between the front lens view, side lens views, or a split-screen display showing multiple views simultaneously.
4. Adjust LED Brightness: Use the light adjustment buttons (often labeled with a sun icon or arrows) to increase or decrease the brightness of the LED lights on the camera probe.
5. Take Photos: In photo mode, press the photo capture button (usually a camera icon) to take a still image.
6. Record Videos: In video mode, press the video record button (usually a video camera icon) to start recording. Press again to stop.
7. Access Settings: Press the 'Menu' or 'Settings' button (often a gear icon) to enter the settings menu. Here you can adjust resolution, language, time, screen brightness, auto-off duration, and time watermark.
8. Review Media: Navigate to the 'Gallery' or 'Playback' mode to view your captured photos and videos.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Regularly wipe the camera lens and the borescope unit with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt on the lens, use a lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth.

• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the unit frequently. Charge the battery regularly, even if the unit is not in active use for extended periods.

• No Image on Screen:
  • Ensure the camera cable is securely connected to the borescope unit.
  • Check if the unit is powered on and has sufficient battery charge.
  • Verify that the correct camera view is selected (front, side, or split-screen).
• Poor Image Quality:
  • Clean the camera lens for any dirt or debris.
  • Adjust the LED brightness to suit the inspection environment.
  • Ensure the object being inspected is within the optimal focal range of the selected lens.
• Unit Not Charging:
  • Check if the USB-C charging cable is properly connected to both the unit and the power source.
