3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Installing Hard Drives
- Gently pull out a drive tray from the enclosure.
- For 3.5" HDDs:
- Align the 3.5" HDD with the tray. The tray is designed for tool-less installation with plastic spring tabs.
- Insert the HDD into the tray until it clicks securely into place.
- Important Note: If the protrusions on the tray conflict with your 3.5" hard drive, you may need to cut off the plastic protrusions or unplug the blue tabs and secure the drive using screws. Refer to Figure 4.
- For 2.5" HDDs/SSDs:
- Place the 2.5" drive onto the tray and align the screw holes.
- Secure the 2.5" drive to the tray using the provided screws and screwdriver.
- Slide the loaded drive tray back into the enclosure until it locks into position.
- Repeat for all desired drives.

3.2 Connecting to a Computer
- Connect one end of the provided USB A/C 3.0 cable to the USB port on the back of the enclosure.
- Connect the other end of the USB A/C 3.0 cable to an available USB 3.0 (or higher) port on your computer.
3.3 Powering On
- Connect the DC 12V/20A power adapter to the power input port on the back of the enclosure.
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
- Press the power button on the enclosure. The power indicator light should illuminate.
- Your computer should detect the new drives. For new drives, you may need to initialize and format them through your operating system's Disk Management utility (Windows) or Disk Utility (Mac OS).

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 LED Indicators
- Blue LED: Indicates standby mode or power on.
- Red Flashing LED: Indicates data reading or writing activity on the corresponding drive bay.

4.3 Safe Removal
Always safely eject the hard drives from your operating system before disconnecting the enclosure or powering it off to prevent data corruption. This is typically done via the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the Windows taskbar or by dragging the drive icon to the Trash/Eject on Mac OS.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cooling System
The enclosure features a built-in cooling fan to dissipate heat generated by the hard drives. Ensure that the fan vents on the back of the enclosure are not obstructed to allow for proper airflow. Regularly check for dust accumulation and clean gently if necessary to maintain efficient cooling.

5.2 General Care
- Keep the enclosure in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the enclosure to strong impacts.
- Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- The enclosure is equipped with silicone anti-skid pads on the bottom to prevent movement and protect surfaces.

6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Drives Not Detected
- Check Connections: Ensure all cables (USB and power) are securely connected to both the enclosure and the computer/power outlet.
- Power On: Verify that the enclosure is powered on and the power indicator light is illuminated.
- Drive Seating: Make sure each hard drive is properly seated in its tray and the tray is fully inserted into the bay.
- New Drives: If using new drives, they may need to be initialized and formatted through your operating system's Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (Mac OS).
- USB Port: Try connecting to a different USB port on your computer.
- Power Adapter: Ensure you are using the provided DC 12V/20A power adapter.
6.2 Slow Data Transfer Speeds
- USB 3.0 Connection: Ensure the enclosure is connected to a USB 3.0 (or higher) port on your computer. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port will result in slower speeds.
- Cable Quality: Use the provided high-quality USB A/C 3.0 cable.
- Drive Performance: The actual transfer speed can be limited by the speed of the installed hard drives themselves.
6.3 Drive Corruption or Instability
- Safe Ejection: Always safely eject drives before disconnecting or powering off the enclosure. Unexpected disconnections can lead to data corruption.
- Power Stability: Ensure the power supply is stable. Use a surge protector if power fluctuations are common in your area.
- Drive Health: Check the health of your individual hard drives using diagnostic tools. A failing drive can cause instability.
- Cooling: Ensure the cooling fan is operating correctly and vents are clear to prevent overheating, which can impact drive stability.
