2. Safety Information

To prevent injury to the user or other people and property damage, the following instructions must be followed. Incorrect operation due to ignoring instructions may cause harm or damage.

  • Always operate the unit on a stable, level surface.
  • Do not block the air inlets or outlets. Maintain at least 20 inches (50 cm) clearance from walls or other objects.
  • Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the air inlets/outlets.
  • Ensure the power cord is not damaged or pinched. Do not use if the cord or plug is damaged.
  • Unplug the unit before cleaning or servicing.
  • Do not use the unit in wet environments such as bathrooms or laundry rooms.
  • Keep the unit away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for quick and simple installation of your portable air conditioner.

  1. Positioning the Unit: Roll the portable AC unit into the desired room. Ensure it is placed on a flat, stable surface and is at least 20 inches (50 cm) away from walls or furniture to allow for proper airflow.
  2. Installing the Window Kit:
    • Open the sliding window.
    • Insert the adjustable window bracket into the window opening. The bracket fits openings from 37 to 50.2 inches. Adjust the bracket length to fit your window and secure it.
    • Apply the foam seals around the window kit to ensure a tight seal and prevent air leakage.
  3. Attaching the Exhaust Hose:
    • Connect one end of the 59-inch exhaust hose to the exhaust port on the back of the air conditioner unit.
    • Connect the other end of the exhaust hose to the window kit adapter. Ensure both connections are secure to prevent hot air from re-entering the room.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

Your Uhome Portable Air Conditioner can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

Operating Modes

  • Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling. Set your desired temperature between 64°F and 86°F (18°C and 30°C).
  • Dehumidifier Mode: Reduces humidity in the air. The unit can remove up to 40 pints of moisture per 24 hours.
  • Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Choose between two fan speeds (High/Low).

Timer Function

The 24-hour adjustable timer allows you to schedule the unit to turn on or off automatically. Press the 'Timer' button on the control panel or remote to set the desired time.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your portable air conditioner.

Cleaning the Air Filter

The washable filter is designed to protect the unit from dust and hair. It should be cleaned regularly, typically every two weeks, or more often depending on usage and air quality.

  1. Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the filter access panel, usually at the back or side of the unit.
  3. Gently remove the filter.
  4. Wash the filter under running water (preferably warm, soapy water).
  5. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.

Drainage

The Uhome portable AC unit features a bucket-less, self-evaporating operation, which means most of the condensed water is expelled with the exhaust air. In high humidity conditions, some water may accumulate. If the unit indicates a full water tank, connect the drain tube to the drainage port and allow the water to drain into a suitable container.
