1. Introduction

The HANMATEK Ti260 is a professional-grade portable infrared thermal camera designed for accurate temperature measurement and thermal imaging. It features a high-resolution infrared sensor, a wide temperature range, and various measurement modes, making it suitable for a broad array of applications including home inspection, building maintenance, HVAC troubleshooting, and electrical system analysis.

This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Ti260 thermal camera. Please read it thoroughly before using the device.

2. Safety Information

To ensure safe operation and prevent damage to the device, observe the following precautions:

  • Do not expose the camera to extreme temperatures, humidity, or corrosive environments.
  • Avoid direct exposure of the lens to strong light sources, such as the sun or lasers, as this may damage the infrared sensor.
  • Use only the specified charging cable and power adapter to charge the device.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the camera. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
  • Keep the device away from water and other liquids. The device has an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, but it is not submersible.

  • Infrared Lens: Captures thermal radiation.
  • Visual Camera: Captures visible light images for fusion mode.
  • LED Work Light: Illuminates dark areas.
  • 2.8-inch TFT LCD Display: Shows thermal and visual images, menu, and data.
  • Power Button: Turns the device on/off.
  • Navigation Buttons (Up/Down/Left/Right): For menu navigation.

  • Capture Button (Trigger): Takes photos.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

The HANMATEK Ti260 is equipped with a 5000mAh Lithium-ion battery, providing up to 6 hours of continuous operation. Before first use, fully charge the device.

  1. Connect the USB-C cable to the camera's USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The charging indicator on the device will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours.

5.2 Inserting the Micro SD Card

The camera comes with a 32GB Micro SD card for storing images. Locate the Micro SD card slot, typically covered by a rubber flap. Insert the card with the gold contacts facing down until it clicks into place.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the screen illuminates.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the shutdown prompt appears, then confirm.

6.2 Basic Measurement

Upon powering on, the camera will display a thermal image. The central crosshair indicates the spot measurement point. The screen shows the current temperature at this point, along with maximum and minimum temperatures detected within the field of view.

6.3 Adjusting Temperature Units

You can switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) directly from the device settings. Navigate through the menu using the navigation buttons and select the desired unit.

6.4 Color Palettes

The Ti260 offers 7 color palettes to visualize temperature differences. Different palettes can enhance contrast and make specific thermal patterns more visible.

To change the color palette, access the menu and select the 'Palette' option. Choose from options like Iron Red, Rainbow, Incandescent, Black Glow, Hot Red, White Hot, and Black Hot.

6.5 Emissivity Adjustment

Emissivity is a crucial factor for accurate temperature measurement. The Ti260 allows adjustment of emissivity from 0.01 to 1.00. Refer to a standard emissivity table for common materials or adjust based on the surface being measured. The camera also features 4 types of object measurement modes to assist with emissivity settings.

6.6 Image Modes

The camera supports multiple image display modes:

  • Thermal Imaging: Displays only the infrared image.
  • Visual Imaging: Displays only the visible light image.
  • Fusion: Blends the thermal and visual images to provide more context.
  • PIP (Picture-in-Picture): Overlays a smaller thermal image onto a larger visual image.

6.7 Image Capture and Storage

To capture a thermal image, aim the camera at the target and press the Capture button (trigger). The image will be saved to the inserted 32GB Micro SD card. You can review captured images directly on the device.

6.8 Data Transfer and Analysis

Connect the camera to a computer using the USB-C cable to transfer captured images for further analysis. The device supports real-time image capture and data analysis on PC software (software may need to be downloaded separately).

6.9 Temperature Alarms

The Ti260 features audible and visual alarms for high and low temperatures. You can set specific temperature thresholds, and the device will alert you when measurements fall outside these ranges. This is particularly useful for monitoring critical equipment or identifying anomalies quickly.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cleaning the Device

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body.
  • For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution to avoid scratching.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

8.2 Battery Care

  • Charge the battery regularly, even if the device is not in use, to maintain battery health.
  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HANMATEK Ti260, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Device does not power on. Low battery; device malfunction. Charge the battery. If the issue persists, contact support.
Inaccurate temperature readings. Incorrect emissivity setting; distance to object too far; environmental interference. Adjust emissivity for the target material. Ensure appropriate measurement distance. Minimize environmental factors.
Cannot save images. Micro SD card full or not inserted correctly; card error. Check Micro SD card insertion. Delete unnecessary files or replace the card. Format the card if necessary (this will erase all data).
Screen is frozen or unresponsive. Software glitch. Perform a soft reset by pressing and holding the power button for 10-15 seconds until the device restarts.
