5.2 Important Notes for Inflation

  • The pump is recommended for road bikes and is not suitable for mountain bikes.
  • It is normal for the pump to heat up during operation.
  • Always hold the pump firmly and ensure the valve is tightly connected to the bike valve during inflation.
  • The POCKET SE model does not feature a pressure gauge. It is advisable to use an external pressure gauge to monitor tire pressure.
  • For TPU inner tubes with resin valves, an extension air hose (not included) must be used to prevent valve damage due to overheating.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your AIRBANK POCKET SE pump, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the pump with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the pump in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the provided waterproof bag for protection.
  • Charging: Recharge the pump regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain battery health. Avoid completely draining the battery for extended periods.
  • Valve Adapters: Keep the valve adapters clean and free from debris. Ensure they are stored securely to prevent loss.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your AIRBANK POCKET SE pump, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Pump does not turn on:
    • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the pump to the charger and check the indicator light.
    • Press the power button once to wake the device.
  • Pump does not inflate or inflates slowly:
    • Check if the pump is properly connected to the tire valve. Ensure a tight seal.
    • Verify that the correct valve adapter (Schrader or Presta) is installed correctly.
    • Ensure the pump is fully charged.
    • Confirm the power button was pressed twice to start inflation.
  • Pump gets hot during use:
    • This is normal during operation. Allow the pump to cool down if it becomes excessively hot.
    • For TPU inner tubes with resin valves, use an extension air hose to prevent heat transfer to the valve.
  • Unusual noise during operation:
    • Ensure no foreign objects are obstructing the pump's air intake or nozzle.
    • If the noise persists and affects performance, contact customer support.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact AIRBANK customer support for assistance.
