3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation and Charging
- Ensure the radio is powered off.
- Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Insert the included NiMH rechargeable battery pack, ensuring correct polarity. Alternatively, insert 3 AA alkaline batteries.
- Replace the battery compartment cover securely.
- For initial use, charge the NiMH batteries using the dual USB charger. Connect the charger to a power source and place the radios in the charging cradle. The charging indicator will illuminate.
3.2 Attaching the Belt Clip
- Align the belt clip with the grooves on the back of the radio.
- Slide the clip downwards until it locks into place.
- To remove, push the release tab and slide the clip upwards.

4. Operation
4.1 Power On/Off
To power on or off the radio, press and hold the power button located on the front panel until the display illuminates or turns off.
4.2 Channel Selection
Use the + and - buttons on the front of the radio to select your desired channel (1-22). Ensure all radios in your group are set to the same channel for communication.
4.3 Transmitting and Receiving
To transmit, press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to receive messages.

The T275 supports 121 privacy codes. To set a privacy code, enter the menu, navigate to the privacy code setting, and select your desired code. All radios in your group must use the same channel and privacy code to communicate.
