Installation Guide
Follow these steps for proper installation of your Silent Ball Catch. The design allows for easy replacement of existing ball latches.
- Prepare the Door: Drill a hole at least 0.6 inches deep around the edge of the door where the catch will be installed. Ensure the hole is clean and free of debris.
- Install the Magnetic Unit: Place the magnetic catch unit into the prepared hole. Secure it firmly with the provided screws.
- Install the Strike Plate: Fix the flat iron strike plate on the opposite side of the door frame, aligning it with the magnetic unit. Ensure it is flush and securely screwed in.
- Adjust the Gap: After initial installation, use the provided key (or a suitable tool) to adjust the product gap. Rotate the brass pillar to adjust the length and the copper plate at the bottom to fine-tune the retraction distance. Aim for a distance of 0.2-0.5mm between the magnet and the strike plate when the door is closed for optimal silent operation and secure closure.
- Test Operation: Open and close the door several times to ensure smooth and silent operation, and that the door remains securely closed.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Door does not close securely. | Magnet not extending far enough; misalignment of components. | Adjust the length of the magnetic unit using the rotating lock buckle. Ensure the strike plate is perfectly aligned with the magnet. |
| Loud clicking sound when closing. | Magnet hitting the strike plate too hard; insufficient gap. | Adjust the retraction distance by rotating the copper plate at the bottom of the magnetic unit. Aim for a small gap (0.2-0.5mm) when closed. |
| Components feel loose. | Mounting screws are loose. | Tighten all mounting screws on both the magnetic unit and the strike plate. |
