Setup

What's in the Box

Battery Installation

The Luna Controller operates on two AA batteries. To install:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the controller.
  2. Slide open the battery cover.
  3. Insert the two AA Amazon Basics batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery cover securely.

Initial Connection (Cloud Direct via Luna Controller App)

For the optimal low-latency experience with Amazon Luna, connect your controller directly to Amazon's game servers via Wi-Fi using Cloud Direct technology.

  1. Download the Luna Controller app from the Amazon Appstore (Android), Google Play Store, or Apple App Store (iOS).
  2. Open the Luna Controller app on your compatible device.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions within the app to connect your controller to your Wi-Fi network. This process links your controller directly to Amazon's Luna servers.

The Luna Controller supports low latency gaming via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB, allowing seamless device switching.

Bluetooth Connection

The Luna Controller supports Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 for use with a wide range of devices, including Windows and Mac computers, Fire tablets, Chromebooks, Fire TV, Android phones, and Samsung/LG smart TVs.

  1. Ensure your controller is powered on.
  2. Press and hold the Luna button (center button with Luna logo) and the Action button (A) simultaneously for a few seconds until the LED indicator blinks blue, indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your device, navigate to Bluetooth settings and select "Luna Controller" from the list of available devices to pair.
  4. Note: For Windows computers outside of Luna service, a specific Windows driver may be required. Refer to Amazon's support page for download instructions.

Wired Connection (USB-C)

For wired gameplay on Windows and Mac computers, you can connect the Luna Controller using a USB-C cable (sold separately).

  1. Connect one end of a USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the top of the controller.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to an available USB port on your computer.
  3. The controller will be recognized automatically by your system.
