1. Safety Information
Always operate the Gidrox GNV2500S generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, far from windows, doors, and vents. Never use it inside a home, garage, or any enclosed space to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. Ensure exhaust is pointed away from occupied areas.
- Carbon Monoxide (CO) Sensor: This generator is equipped with a built-in CO sensor that automatically shuts off the engine if dangerous levels of carbon monoxide are detected. Move the generator to fresh air if the CO alarm activates.
- Fuel Safety: Handle gasoline with extreme care. It is highly flammable. Always refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool.
- Electrical Safety: Do not operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are secure and properly grounded.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator's engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid touching hot surfaces to prevent burns.
2. What's Included
Your Gidrox GNV2500S Portable Inverter Generator package includes the following items:
- Gidrox 2500W Inverter Generator (GNV2500S)
- 120V 20A Plug
- Funnel
- Screwdriver
- Spark Plug & Socket Wrench
- Wrench

3. Setup
3.1 Add Engine Oil
Before starting the generator for the first time, you must add engine oil. The generator is shipped without oil.
- Place the generator on a level surface.
- Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick on the side of the engine.
- Unscrew and remove the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Using the provided funnel, slowly pour SAE 10W-30 engine oil into the oil fill opening until the oil level reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
- Reinstall the oil fill cap/dipstick securely.
3.2 Add Fuel
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 85 or higher. Do not use E85 fuel.
- Ensure the generator is off and cool before refueling.
- Unscrew the fuel cap on top of the generator.
- Slowly pour gasoline into the fuel tank using a clean funnel. The fuel tank capacity is 1.05 gallons.
- Observe the fuel indicator to ensure the fuel level is between the F (Full) and L (Low) marks. Do not overfill.
- Securely tighten the fuel cap.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Control Panel Overview

- Power Indicator: Illuminates when the generator is producing power.
- 120V 20A Outlets: Standard household outlets for AC power.
- Parallel Connect Ports: Allows connection of two Gidrox 2500W generators for increased power output.
- USB Ports (Type-A & Type-C): For charging sensitive electronics directly.
- CO Lamp: Indicates carbon monoxide detection.
- ECO Mode Switch: Reduces engine speed to save fuel and lower noise when load is low.
- Choke Lever: Used for starting the engine.
- Reset Button: Resets the generator after an overload.
- Oil Level Indicator: Illuminates when engine oil is low.
- Overload Indicator: Illuminates when the generator is overloaded.
4.2 Starting the Generator
- Ensure the generator is on a level surface and all electrical loads are disconnected.
- Turn the engine switch to the 'ON' position.
- Turn the fuel switch to the 'ON' position.
- Move the choke lever to the 'START' position.
- For electric start, press the start button. For manual start, pull the recoil starter handle firmly until the engine starts.
- Once the engine starts and runs smoothly, gradually move the choke lever to the 'RUN' position.
4.3 Stopping the Generator
- Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator.
- Turn the engine switch to the 'OFF' position.
- Turn the fuel switch to the 'OFF' position.
4.4 Using ECO Mode
The ECO Mode feature automatically adjusts the engine speed to match the electrical load. This reduces fuel consumption, lowers noise levels, and extends engine life when operating at partial loads.
- To activate ECO Mode, flip the ECO Mode switch to the 'ON' position.
- To deactivate ECO Mode and run the engine at full speed, flip the ECO Mode switch to the 'OFF' position.

4.5 Parallel Operation
For increased power output, two Gidrox 2500W inverter generators can be connected in parallel using a parallel kit (sold separately).
- Ensure both generators are off and cool.
- Connect the parallel cables to the designated parallel ports on both generators.
- Follow the starting procedure for both generators.
- Once both generators are running, connect your electrical loads to the outlets on the parallel kit.

5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your Gidrox GNV2500S generator. Always refer to the detailed owner's manual for specific maintenance schedules and procedures.
5.1 Engine Oil Change
Change the engine oil after the first 20 hours of use or the first month, whichever comes first. Subsequent oil changes should be performed according to the schedule in your owner's manual.
5.2 Spark Plug Maintenance
Regularly inspect and clean the spark plug to ensure proper engine ignition.
- Remove the spark plug cap.
- Use the provided spark plug wrench to remove the spark plug.
- Inspect the spark plug for wear, carbon buildup, or damage. Clean if necessary or replace if worn.
- Check the spark plug gap and adjust if needed (refer to specifications in the manual).
- Reinstall the spark plug and tighten it securely. Reattach the spark plug cap.
5.3 Air Filter Cleaning
A clean air filter is essential for proper engine performance and longevity.
- Remove the side cover of the generator to access the air filter housing.
- Open the air filter housing and remove the air filter element.
- Clean the air filter element with warm, soapy water, then rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely.
- Reinstall the dry air filter element into the housing and close the cover.
- Reattach the side cover of the generator.
5.4 Spark Arrestor Cleaning
The spark arrestor prevents sparks from exiting the muffler. Clean it regularly to prevent carbon buildup.
- Allow the engine to cool completely.
- Locate the spark arrestor on the muffler assembly.
- Remove the screws securing the spark arrestor cover and remove the cover.
- Carefully remove the spark arrestor screen.
- Clean the screen with a wire brush to remove carbon deposits.
- Reinstall the spark arrestor screen and cover.
6. Troubleshooting
- Engine Will Not Start:
- Check fuel level.
- Check engine oil level.
- Ensure engine switch and fuel switch are 'ON'.
- Ensure choke lever is in the correct position for starting.
- Check spark plug for fouling or damage.
- No Power Output:
- Check if the Overload Indicator is illuminated. Reduce load and press the Reset button.
- Ensure all circuit breakers are in the 'ON' position.
- Check if the generator is in ECO Mode; switch off if full power is needed.
